Truth. And besides, when has the franchise ever made logical moves when it comes to superior talent at the position anyway? Gannon was the biggest controversy I can recall, but there may have been something greater before that.

Milk?

DeezNutz 07-27-2013 05:31 PM

No, there's no truth to the "logic" of keeping Stanzi over Daniel. Not even close.

Just so I don't have to hear his name again, I'm looking forward to Stanzi being cut, which is almost a certainty.

I guess that would depend on how much was guaranteed. If Daniel and Stanzi are playing at the same level, Stanzi might be the cheaper option.

I know a lot of people think that Daniel's contract somehow marries him to the Chiefs. I don't believe that though.

We'll have to see how the preseason shakes out. Maybe Stanzi has a chance to make the roster if Chase keeps playing like dick. I don't think Stanzi will actually beat him out, but it is a story worth watching.

Daniels was given 4.8 million in guarantees and 3 of it in a SB.

If we cut him this year, the whole 4.8 becomes dead money.

That's just not happening.

Gabbert's first three plays went like this: nearly-botched handoff, fumbled center exchange, and collision with LG Will Rackley to force another fumble. Gabbert put the ball on the ground again as he tried to pump-fake, and also bobbled a shotgun snap. "It's not acceptable," Bradley said. "We’re not going to tolerate it." I know we have our question marks, etc., coming off a terrible 2-14 season. But forgive me for sounding, I don't know, arrogant perhaps? But we better beat the living shit out of the Jags on opening day. Even if we have some injuries going in the game, that team is a mess, and that's coming from a Chiefs fan lol. But seriously, if we don't beat them...wow.

Mother****erJones 07-27-2013 08:14 PM

Schefter: Pitta (hip surgery) lost for season
ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Dennis Pitta will miss the 2013 season after undergoing hip surgery Saturday.
Pitta dislocated his hip on the third day of camp. It's a huge downgrade to Baltimore's offense, and means plodding in-line TE Ed Dickson will be forced into an full-time role. Torrey Smith is the Ravens' only current viable receiver. An ascending "flex/move" tight end, Pitta was highly likely to lead Baltimore in receptions this season as essentially the team's in-house replacement for Anquan Boldin. Because Pitta did practice early in camp, he's not a candidate for PUP. The Ravens could place Pitta on injured reserve/designated for return in hopes of a late-year comeback. Like Jeremy Maclin -- the Eagles' wideout who was also lost for the season Saturday -- Pitta was entering a contract year.

No I'm the same way. We better kill that team. They don't have blackmon, shit QB in gabbert and MJD is coming off serious foot injury.

We will probably lose to dallas but I'm hopeful we win.

Then we should beat philly who just lost Maclin and wasn't that good last year.

That is music to my ****ing ears.

Given our struggles in Florida, I'm worried about that game. We need to get that W smoothly to get our swagger back. If we go in Jax and lay an again against that piece of shit team, we'll be in for a long ass season and I'll likely break some shit.

Seriously, though. The Jaguars are ****ing TERRIBLE. Outside of MJD (who's been bitten by the injury bug), that team is so devoid of talent it's incredible. I literally can't even name one of their defensive players although I feel like they have a LB that's pretty decent...

You're going to be seeing/hearing that same mantra about 32 times over in the coming years.

Now, as to Clay getting all excited about losing to JAX, that's where he and I seperate, because that would in fact NOT be funny in any way, shape, or form.

I want Reid and Dorsey and every other asshat on this board to be wrong about Geno, but I want the Dorseid to RIGHT about Tyler Bray TIMES ELEVENTY.

That's as objective and hopeful as I can and will get about these two thus far. Alex Smith can suck my balls until the day he leaves this franchise.

Alternatively, you may have said he tossed three interceptions in a three-pass span.

At least the 4th pass was only a "near interception." Shows improvement.
