Makes one think that Mizzou would have had an easier chance against Bama than Auburn. Mizzou has a better D Line than OU and they would have pressured McCarron all night.

Yeah, not that I think McCarron is a 1st round talent... but pass rush is where it's at. It'll neutralize any good QB. You get to Manning, Brady, Rodgers, Brees.. you'll rattle them and they will lose. They've all lost playoff games that way.

Which is why I been advocating for DE's/rush OLB's/DT's that can rush the QB.

That is assuming that Saban would continue to run it against them. The fact he did not against OU makes you wonder. Auburn was the absolute worst possible matchup for the Mizzou defense.

Kind of easy when you get a chance every year, the SEC hype is bullshit. They keep over half the teams ranked so when they lose its like so what we lost to a ranked team.

No.

Chest thumping SEC fans that root for their conference made this a thing. Let's cheer on the Chargers this weekend! Then maybe we'll cheer on the Broncos, so long as we don't play them!

**** that stupid conference pride bullshit. Those teams are supposed to be your rivals. You aren't supposed to chant for their success or be happy for their victories when you fall short.

I wish I didn't have to want OU to win tonight. I wish it was a B10 or ACC team or something. It should make you feel dirty rooting for your rivals. Not the case for the SEC crowd.

In short, blame DaKCMan first and foremost.

tk13 01-02-2014 11:46 PM

The last 5 or so posts say it all. They've won 7 straight national championships, send more players to the NFL than any other conference, and generally do well against other conferences in the bowl games. I get why people hate them but you'd all certainly be beating your chests the same way if it was your conference. Look at your reactions tonight. That doesn't predict future performance but over the last decade they've clearly been the best football conference.

Reaper16 01-02-2014 11:47 PM
