I know that seems like a redundant situation but if hill can legitimately be a wr and not a gadget guy, I'd be all for it. I'd rather keep all 3, but that's alot of small |

Conley Wilson Hill Who's your 5th? Do we keep Streater and his contract to be a 4th or 5th WR at best? Give it to Robinson? Has Williams shown enough? |

Maybe keep 7? |

Ok fellas...sounds like they are working on special teams.
I am off to a meeting so i'm out. Sounds like Bray is proving doubters (CP) wrong, as usual. XoXo |

The kid has come a long LONG way in this offense. It's a complicated offense and while camp tells you a few things, it doesn't tell you how well you're going to manage the immediate reads when teams are looking to counter-punch. I don't trust Streater to know this offense that well, that quickly, let alone Robinson. And good lord, people want to knock Wilson's toughness but talk about cutting him for Thomas? Pft. Wilson's on any roster I assemble. He doesn't like to dive...whatever. This nonsense about him routinely gator-arming the ball is revisionist history. He's absolutely gone into traffic for balls and has done a nice job on those quick slant's where he knows he's going to take a shot. Wilson's a tough kid and a solid football player. |

Bengals 1st round pick William Jackson III looks like he might be out for the year. A ton of us wanted to see him in red & gold this year. Huge blow.
|
That sucks.
|
At least it's just a torn pec; shouldn't really linger for a DB going forward, I wouldn't think.
It amazes me how catastrophic those are. There never even seems a doubt when you see a torn pec; just a straight up 'boom - out for the year'. |

Great to see all our rookies stepping up and making plays so far.
Maybe we can let some of the marginal players like Hammond, Davis, Mauga, Flemming, and Dat go. Looks like we have an upgrade for every one of these guys. |

speaking of suck ....... Hammond is #1 by default. c'mon Hill!! |

I hope March is the real deal and not another Catapano media hype.

RunKC's Camp Notes:
-Charcandrick West is probably the most fan friendly player. He's just a good guy who shows tons of love to the fans. -The Tyreek Hill hype is very real. He's the fastest person I've ever seen. He kept owning guys out here from his lateral speed in cuts through short routes to long vertical plays. He dominated MP22 on that long TD. It wasn't even close. -DAT is still pretty good. He's beating guys like Hill, but he's not as impressive. -Tyler Bray seems like he knows what he's doing. He's more comfortable now. He throws long beauties every day and it's impressing coaches bc he has more touch now. One coach yelled "that's what happens when you set those feet right!". He's gotten better technically and they seem to feel comfortable. -Kevin Hogan looks pretty good. He actually seems like he could be a starter in 2 years. Looks better than Murray IMO. -Conley looks about the same. He looks like he knows the system more and his routes look pretty good. He talked with Maclin a lot. -Demarcus Robinson looks pretty good physically but it's clear that he doesn't know the system much if at all. I doubt he plays much this year. -Streater will easily be the #4 at worst. He's an upgrade over the shit we had last year based on athleticism and size alone. He's made some plays. -OL is pretty basic. I think we're set up well. Nothing really to report here.. -If what I saw from Chris Jones was any indication, he'll be starting by mid season. He's going to take Allen Bailey's job this year. It's kind of crazy when you see him bc he's not as wide as Poe/Howard and he's not as muscular as Nick Williams, but he's tall, very strong and he's extremely quick. He gets by guys so well bc of his speed to power IMO. OL try to lock in on him but they can't bc he's so fast. I can't underestimate that aspect of his game. He is so explosive and it shows. He's noticeably faster off the snap than the other DL. His hand use is also really good. He's got some good moves. He keeps winning reps that would be sacks in games, plus he gets his hands up. He stuffed a Bray pass today and that's impressive doing that to a 6'6" QB. I'm sticking to my comparison of Malik Jackson. -Can confirm that the Justin March hype is real too. We saw the hit on Ware. He's tenacious and energetic. One thing Mauga is good at is run defense, but he's slow. March is a true sideline to sideline talent. He's super fast and he's good in coverage. Blitzes and defending sweep runs will improve bc of him. There's no way he shouldn't be starting next to DJ. -Ford is really hard to tell. He looks the same but bigger. Same super fast get off. It's all up to him, but he looked pretty good today. -Russell was solid. He's got the skills to be an outside or inside corner. He's not great but he's not bad at all. That's awesome to see from your 4th corner. -DJ White has good ball skills and a sense for the ball, but he's not doing well inside IMO. DAT roasted him and exposed his lateral movement flaws a bit. Russell was much better there and it showed.White does better on the outside where his best asset is defending downfield passes. Bottomline is this team is a playoff team and it has as much overall talent as most teams in the NFL. IMO distance that they go in January will be determined by injuries and home field. |

Whelp now that my baseball season is over, it's back to football!
Quick random thoughts: Hope for the best with injuries and health. Can't wait to see Justin March. Intrigued by this young CB core and seeing how it comes together. This should be Jamaal's best OL and I'm expecting a good season |
Good to see Jones tearing it up. Staylor ragged on three pick all off season.

Frank Zombo is a mushroom swiss burger. If you like mushroom swiss burgers, tell me if you've ever had a bad one at a restaurant you've been to. You haven't, have you? Some have been better than others, sure, but provided the chef didn't burn the patty or top it with cat vomit, it's impossible to make a bad mushroom swiss burger.
That's my menu choice at any restaurant I go to if I'm too indecisive about trying something new. And I've never once regretted it. That's Frank Zombo. A mushroom swiss burger. |
He's a decent backup. You know what you're gonna get.
Id like to have another young developmental rusher at olb, hopefully Nichols turns into something |

This is the best DL I've seen from the Chiefs in my life. Even Nunez-Roches has shown a little talent.
If/when Houston gets back 100% we'll be a top 3 front 7. |
I've never seen this many positive comments about TC here. I'm excited to see so many people it feels like I'll actually be entertained during these preseason games.

Hill looks really, really good. |
God dammit.
I still hate the little ****er. (shit that's fast out of his cut though; he rolled it just a little more than I'd like but still, that's a pretty impressive route and in this system, that ability to get up to speed in just a stride or two is nigh on uncoverable. **** it, I still hope he blows out both knees) |

2 different angles of Hill smoking Peters. (Lol)

Quote:
He gives himself (and his WRs) such a slim margin for error on those throws because he's just doesn't have quite enough arm to really loft it up there to let them run under it. Hill had Peters wrecked and yet Smith still had to throw it into a pretty tiny window because the sideline cut Hill off and Smith couldn't put quite enough ass into it to just let Hill run under it. So he had to throw it steeper and pretty much hit Hill in stride or miss him outright. You'd like to see him able to utilize that cushion more by making the worst case scenario a 40 yard catch/tackle rather than an incomplete pass. We'll miss on a few deep throws this year for that very reason. |

Hill is going to be a starter if he keeps this up. |
