Nice to see Ozuna hitting better. Hopefully he stays hot for awhile.

I don’t like taking Martinez out of a 3 run lead. Marp should be out instead of JoMart.

Well it wasn’t ideal but it works

He keeps this up we can trade one of our top young pitchers for a MOTB and still not **** up our chances at winning in the playoffs again. |

Well would ya look at that.

Fowler just got under that and almost got the win right there. I think there may be something going on with this team. I’ve not seen this many comebacks from a Cardinals team in a few years now. |
****ing wongball to walk it off lel

Who is this guy? Does he know people, trustworthy in the past? And WTF was Yadi doing catching without a cup? 102 mph fastball to the nuts is going to hurt like a mother but your not going to miss a month or a season.

Man, that sucks.
Second time those rat bastard Cubs have broken Yadi, too. |
Carson Kelly time

Sounds to be about a month which isn’t devastating. I just feel bad for Yadi, I’ve been hit in the nuts hard before and that was the worst pain ever. Can’t imagine a 102 mph fastball.
I’m curious about Pham’s injury though. Hope he isn’t out to long. |

Have you been on Twitter lately? |
He had a cup....but 102 mph to it would be like getting hit with a sledgehammer there, and that is doing damage regardless. I'm guessing he had direct damage where the cup was against him, and concussive damage that spread around there. His stayed intact, there is a kid in college I heard about where the cup broke on a hit to it like that and turned into shrapnel.

Worst incident I ever had involved hitting some iron spike thing in the dark at a dead run. The height of the thing was just above crotch level and it very unhappily passed between my legs. I took two more staggering steps and then face planted into the grass. God Almighty did that ever hurt. I had to be carried away, and my junk hurt for days after that. And I damn sure wasn't running at 102 mph.
|
It wouldn't surprise me if it ruptured his nut and they had to remove it.

Bengie said........ "I think the case was when he got hit, he tore a ligament or something like that and they had to go in because of the pressure. They did a drainage on him to release the pressure. Too bad (it wasn't) in a different area. For a man, it's a very difficult area." |
This is one player I’m glad we sent to another team even if he becomes an All-Star.

:cuss:
Jfc that was a horrible sequence of events |
Ugh base running is still a big issue with this team.

Fowler didn’t take 2B. That’s something l taught little leaguers. That causes a double play. Maybe he’s too busy yucking it up over there with Rizzo. |

Lester better not get that outside pitch all night. That’s ****ing bs.
|
Quote:
And that’s 2 DP’s in 2 innings. Why isn’t Kelly playing? He spent a whole year and this years spring training with these pitchers. He knows the scouting reports. The pitchers likes and dislikes in situations. He didn’t play last night. And was already on his way to St.Louis before the game. Had all day to get acclimated. |

Damn this game shouldn’t have been played. I can’t imagine either pitcher liking this.

Get to watch the KB jerk off fest during rain delays.

This is also a Sunday game after we've won the first two of the series. Normally Matheny pulls a couple people out of the stands to start games like this. |
Well I hope no more rain because now that the Cubs lead MLB won’t hesitate to make this shit official after 5.
|
2 rain delays is tuff on a starting pitcher. Gonna win this shit in the later innings as long as the rain stays away.
|
And of course Lester got that outside pitch.

****ing BS strike zone. Goodnight fellow Cards fans, it’s only May. But I’m not watching this shit.

And a hit now. JFC I hate Lester.

Is there a mic under home plate? Every time the ball meets the bat it sounds like a HR.
|
Frustration from this game aside, I just saw a Royals GDT with 15 posts. Not a fairweather fanbase at all, that bunch.

Gyrko is hitting at 1.33 OPS, even Matheny is not that stupid to sit that bat on the bench for someone hitting .165, correct?

Fowler hasn’t I don’t think |
And another thing....... Fowler is hitting .167 RH. Why not just bat LH against lefty’s? Going to be worse than .167?
|
Two on, nobody out, and they can't push one goddamn run across. 4321
|
Everyone has forgot how to hit on both teams.
|
Completely didn’t see Fowler pulling that off. Nice win.
