I do get a kick out of the fact that virtually everyone is openly rooting against the Cardinals in these arb cases at the moment.

Except for PGM -- he wanted to see Noot at the league minimum.

There's just not a less likeable organization in baseball at the moment. They're probably only second to the Mavericks right now in terms of open fan hatred.

And here's the thing - I don't think they know it. I mean, I don't know HOW they wouldn't, but I think they're going to be floored at how poor the attendance is and how bad the television ratings are. It's going to be an eye-opening season for them when they finally have no choice but to see how badly they've pissed off this fan base.

Some small pay bumps for role players and failing to unload the one star on the team are all this winter is going to bring?

I might not watch a single game this year.

Fine. Whatever. What's the worst that could happen? No sense in pissing McGreevy's service time away as a swing man anyway.

Yeah, we are only getting the him for 6 years, why blow one year. He looks like a solid starter in the future.
