ROFL

Callers are asked what they want to talk about before being put on hold to wait to go on the air.

They ABSOLUTELY DO screen callers...otherwise, what stops a random guy from calling in and talking about basketball, or soccer...?

Chris Weinke has said specifically that they're working on his footwork and lower body mechanics.

They're forcing him to throw passes from a position from which he is neither familiar nor comfortable.

They DO NOT ask callers "are you for drafting a QB" and then hang up on them if they say yes.

Does that mean he'd rather have Geno Smith than Matt Flynn, but no other QBs in the draft?

That's still a huge pot of dumbassery, but it's a start

They ask callers their exact premise for the call. They ask for a basic transcript of what you're going to say on air. Then the radio hosts picks which of those calls he wants to answer.

And the vast majority of those people say " I want to talk about how we should use the number 1 pick".

This idea that they're purposefully trying to make the Chiefs fanbase appear anti-draft pick/pro-Alex Smith is RIDICULOUSLY silly.

This fanbase absolutely IS largely that way. That's a fact.

Exactly

No they don't. They're asked specifically what they'll talk about on air. I've called in and when I gave them the premise of what I was going to talk about, the screener said "We already have a couple of people on hold waiting to make that same point".

They know exactly what each caller is going to say.

We don't see eye to eye on the majority of topics, but you are absolutely correct on this.

The hosts have a line on screen where they know what each caller is gonna say, too...and they choose the order of when to que up certain talking points.

If they're trying to avoid duplicative conversation, why is 8 out of 10 callers on 810 saying the EXACT SAME THING?

Forget the radio anyway. There's also social media and furthermore, SEVERAL of us discuss this in work and social circles EVERY DAY.

You can plug your ears and pretend it isn't happening bit it is.

Outside of the message boards (which generally house the hardcore fans), Alex Smith is FAR AND AWAY the most popular choice.

BossChief 02-05-2013 02:30 PM

Htis, you told me a couple days ago that Alex Smith is a guy that the majority of THIS BOARD would be ok with signing/trading for.

That's not the case.
