For all of you assjacks who think Thomas Pynchon is the be all end all of writers.. I present to you, this.

I just finished Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter, which was actually quite good. The author did a great job weaving his vampire story around historic events.

currently reading "locked on" by tom clancy, and "the wastelands" by stephen king.

Lonewolf Ed 12-27-2011 10:02 AM

I finished up all of the "Song of Ice and Fire" books to date. Now reading "Daemon" by Daniel Suarez. If you have any interest in computer hacking, this technothriller is for you. Great read, great listen.

What did you think of ASOIAF? There some huge discussions on the subject in the Media Center.

I just finished this over the weekend. Good read with an interesting plot. Extra points for those King fans who find the usual references to some of his other works.

Now am reading a couple of Baldacci's Camel Club stories. Fun, light, spy/thriller stuff.

just started it....maybe 60/70 pages in. I love it. awesome premise. I don't think it matters if you dig SK or not. it's a page turner. I love the references to other SK books. he's in Derry now where the IT murders took place. cool. unlike Under The Dome, which was a complete waste of paper....this one has really grabbed me.

Finished this obscure bunch of books that go under the 'Song of Ice and Fire' moniker. All 5 books in the series were written by some young and athletic guy from Keyna in under 2 weeks. The last 2 of the series should be completed in the next day or so.

Looking for something else to read in the meantime.

Reading for my teaching.

Just read a bunch of Flannery O'Connor (she just gets better and better the older I get). Moved on to Ralph Ellison. Now starting Faulkner. Yay Southern Lit.

Maybe you can explain this one to me; Why do literary folk not consider Upton Sinclaire to be much of an author? The only praise I ever see the man receiving is based on his social commentary, not his actual writing. I've only read World war and The Jungle but both books were amazing, and to me at least, amazingly written.

Reading

The Bunker (1978 oop)
