Sure, but at the same time, hard to catch anything with the QB is either overthrowing or underthrowing the pass as well.

And yes I have seen them win a playoff game.

Fact is is doesn't matter what either team has or hasn't done, it matters what they will do moving forward, unless you live in the past.

And so I present for you once again -

"Carson Palmer is our QB of the future" LMAO

That's not what I said. Don't twist things. Obviously you have to replace him with someone who is not complete garbage. That's where Pioli failed. But investing all your money in cornerbacks isn't a smart way to do business. Or maybe I missed all the championships Surtain and Law won for the Chiefs.

Championship defenses are won in the front 7, and more specifically the ability to rush the passer. Especially in today's football. When you get to the end of the road everyone's got a franchise QB... it's being able to disrupt the other team's passer the best. The Giants won two Super Bowls with a no-name secondary... and the Patriots have been to multiple Super Bowls playing WRs and other assorted garbage in the secondary. Now of course you don't have to be that brutal with the position... but the NFL has neutered the position, just like running backs.

I agree that pass rushers are more important. However, the bold weren't very good players when they arrived in KC, so they don't really help with your point.

Patrick Surtain had been to three straight Pro Bowls at the CB position when the Chiefs acquired him. They signed him to a $50 million contract... just like Carr got. He was definitely still considered an elite CB.

Not worth 10 million a year no.

So what? If they can't prove it - and nothing short of somebody admitting it, there's no proof - what can they do? Look, they made the league like this, not making owners spend the money given to them and all, so don't think they have a thing they could do anyway... If Hunt, Pioli and fatboy say they tried, just because it's obvious that they're lying doesn't mean they can do shit to them. LOL, now that the chiefs are doing it, watch...the NFL will make some new rule! Look at what Indy did to get Luck.....THAT was the most obvious "throwing a season for a 1st pick" that earth has ever seen... And not a word! LOL!

Did he play at an elite level, or was he a disappointment? This is what I was inarticulately trying to say.

Anyway, moot point. While CBs are less important than pass rushers, I believe that you're understating their value if the pass rush isn't elite.

They have a higher winning percentage than the Chiefs since 2000. There's a thread about it by Literature.

The Royals are a minor league team that hasn't been to the playoffs in 3 decades. Their season is literally over by the end of April every year.

There aint 5 players in the top 20 that will help this Chiefs team- they are so deficient in talent it's borderline reeruned-
