I am now a size 14. When I started, I was a size 20. So close to breaking into the 180's. Should be there next week. Currently sitting at 65 lbs lost.

Nicely done. Hit those goals and then someday forget about the goals and just consider it a life style change.

Is there any other topic or subject out there that so many damn people pretend to be "experts" on, but yet don't know there head from their asses more than fitness? I see someone post a fitness topic on FB and it's like blood in the water for all these "gurus" wanting to sale their products or programs and offer up their 2 cents.

Oh, it's already a lifestyle change. :)

Currently goals:

Long term - be at 25% body fat
Hopefully not quite as long term - be able to do a pull-up

Short term goal - get into the 180s
Short term goal - break PR after PR after PR after PR
Sometimes a short term goal - get through a workout (or a set even)

I make goals every time I go to the gym. Oh! A couple of more hopefully shorter term goals are to make thrusters my bitch, and to master my form on a front squat. :)

I think that everyone becomes an expert once they start seeing results. I know I've stuck my foot in my mouth on multiple occasions.

Maybe, but they also give a lot of poor advice. However, why people seem medical or nutrition advice from people on FB is beyond me. Go to someone that has some training in that area. At least in this thread you know who knows their shit and who doesn't so you can ignore the morans :D

That's good. I just see way to many people hit those OG goals and call it quits. Continually setting new ones it a good idea.

Well, they are FB friends with you, aren't they? ;)

They must have multiple people on there that they trust. I posed the same question regarding leg cramps on FB that I did in here, and I got the expected "drink water" and "eat bananas", but I also know a couple of PT's, so I mostly waited to see what types of advice they responded with.

Of course, I texted my PT to ask him, and I definitely trust him.

How come you didn't tell me nicely done? Are you some sort of sexist?

Simply Red 04-20-2014 10:46 PM

In all seriousness the decline bench sounds like a rad work in.
