So, I work a 9/80 schedule and today is my Friday. Off until Monday.

And can you imagine Kansas City for the next year? Let me spell it out.

Altogether 2019 in Kansas City was a marvelous year. Not only was there wonderful sunshine and delicious rain, in due times and perfect measure, but there seemed something more: an air of richness and growth, and a gleam of a beauty beyond that of mortal summers that flicker and pass upon this Middle of the Country.

All the children born or begotten in that year, and there were many, were fair to see and strong armed, and most of them had a rich curly reddish hair that had before been rare among the Kingdom.

The food was so plentiful that young Kansas Citians very nearly bathed in ketchup and steak; and later they sat on the lawns under the plum trees and ate until they had made piles of stones like small pyramids or the heaped Bronco skulls of a conqueror, and then they moved on. And no one was ill, and everyone was pleased, except those who had to mow the grass.

Vines were laden and the yield of “leaf” was astonishing; and everywhere there was so much wheat that at Harvest every bakery was stuffed. The Boulevard barley was so fine that the beer of 2019 malt was long remembered and became a byword. Indeed a generation later one might hear an old construction worker at an inn, after a good pint of well-earned ale, put down his mug with a sigh: “Ahh! That was proper Showtime 2019, that was!”

So which Chiefs greats will be at the game? I hope Tamba and DJ are there. JC as well

I'd like to see Len Dawson there so he can tell us about how Tom Brady cheated by deflating footballs and then measuring a gameday ball with his secret gauge and proving that Tom Brady deflated footballs. Thus declaring Tom Brady is once again a cheater.
