I didn't really get see game much not that I cared but I want to take this time to congratulate Mathew Stafford and the Detroit Lions for winning the Super Bowl.

Mathew Stafford had paid his dews he is a deserving champion and really bless his family for what they've been through with his wife. I think Mathew was well deserving of winning a Lombardi.

It started in SB 54. No trophy walk? The part where they walk the trophy out as the epic music plays and the players get to relish the fact they actually did it. They reached the mountain top. They haven’t done it since SB 53.

But there’s way more

No intro montages for the teams being introduced? What?

No intro theme ala stand by me last year where it shows both teams and their stories leading up to this season along with their families chiming in. Hell they even had a hologram of Vince Lombardi giving a speech lmao.

This year they walked out of the Tunnel. No intro piece. No team introductions no nothing. Just the Rock being cringy.

I know people will say who cares? Me. Obviously the game is the most important but the SB should FEEL EPIC. Like you’re about to witness the final chapter of an epic movie

Yeah, it was weird. I only saw bits and pieces of the game but it felt just like a football game, not a Super Bowl. Even after the 4th down play that iced the game, the celebration seemed kinda meh. Maybe with LA winning that eliminated a passionate fan base angle and so it just seemed kinda sterile but it's also possible the NFL has become more about betting and fantasy than it has about storylines and games and so they just figure "what the hell? People will watch and bet it anyway, so why not cut some corners". I type that as a gambler and fantasy player but I wonder if that stuff has taken away a little from the passion of the overall sporting aspect of it.

The 3rd down holding might have been more of a makeup call for this.

I wonder what his opinion is on the missed OPI that gave Cincy a TD to start the second half.

I was watching with some friends and that was our conclusion...makeup call. Also, it sucked that the refs suddenly found their whistles with 2 minutes left in the game.

NFL is rigged. Get mad at me, I don't care. Finding your whistle with two minutes left is not a coincidence. See first KC/Cincinnati game. KARMA back on their stirped asses. Glad we didn't have to endure another home team **** job. We dodged a bullet, LA was going to win anyway, by hook or crook. It's all watered down bullshit entertainment now. I hate to admit it but I have to come to grips with it because I LOVE watching football and sports. Sad day for me. Sports has been a major part of my life and to find out what is has become makes me sad.

I guess so. I just really thought that in being in LA would make them go absolutely far out. They love to brag so much about how much the stadium cost to build every other sentence.

Maybe they realized nobody gave a **** about the players or teams? I can kind of understand why they went all out last year because the whole world was a shit show and they figured they might as well put on a show and try and make it feel more “epic” and “emotional”. And Tom Brady vs Mahomes is definitely a hype event.

But I’m in awe they couldn’t do the bare minimum of having team intros and I absolutely hate HATE HATE not doing the trophy walk. I was really disappointed when our guys didn’t get to experience that.

The SB should not be treated like a Thursday night game!

Emotional. You got emotional after the loss and this is your coping mechanism. Sad.

Well I hope this doesn’t continue. Obviously the game is the most important thing. But just like an amazing scene in a movie… buildup is important! It sets the mood for battle. It’s the Super Bowl! Not some random Thursday night game.

Spend less time on those cheap CGI graphics in the regular season lol

Bengals fans can shut up about refs hosing them over. They got away with stuff as well. KC fans got the shaft hard in the SB and at Cincy.

Any Cincy fan who complains about the refs screwing them over is just whining. They scored a TD on one of the biggest no calls in recent memory. Pretty sure they aren’t complaining about that no call.
