It pretty much forced me off the track team.

They're the worst injury I have ever had. I'm just sitting here remembering them and shuddering a little.

In all seriousness the decline bench sounds like a rad work in.

Its a great movement, especially if you have a shoulder issue or impingement. I do tons of band work for rear delt and external rotations every upper body session, as I've had my fair share of impingement and its a real bitch to work the kinks out.

Quite frankly I feel you are lagging behind Luv a bit. I suggest upping the meth from 2 to 4 Grams per day.

Set a new PR on the 1000m row today. 3:54.6. Of course, I rested three minutes and had to do another one, which took me a little over four minutes. :)

Congrats!!!!!

Had my weigh in today...only lost half a pound. Disappointed but not discouraged. If I don't lose 4-5 next week I'll mix some things up..

What is your current weight and is what is your goal?

The scale is highly over rated.

CaliforniaChief only checks in once per week. I don't know what his goal is, but here's his first post from a few weeks ago, and one from last week telling of his progress for the week.

Hey guys and gals!
I've lurked this thread for awhile and never had the guts to post, but now I do. I've fought weight my whole life. There are so many aspects to it, but the bottom line is that I haven't been able to get over the hump and stay there. I'll avoid book writing but just give you the bullet points:

-Once weighed 385 pounds.
-Auditioned for "Biggest Loser", made it to the final cut where I had permission from my employer to take 17 weeks off, family was good to go.
-Didn't make the final cut.
-As a promise to my wife, I hit the gym, changed the way I ate, and got down to 270 pounds.
-Got lazy, stupid, and ultra fat again.
-Developed a condition in my foot that required complete reconstruction of my Achilles tendon.
-At my pre-surgical appointment, I weighed *gulp* 417 pounds.
-Had the surgery, got really depressed, and almost gave up.
-Got motivated and now am at it again with changing the way I eat (calories in < calories out) and now I'm at 380.
-I ride the stationary bike every morning (intense) and am dropping about 5 pounds a week.

I'll update as I weigh in, but I need the accountability but like the idea of it being in here. Appreciate your honesty and encouragement.

I can't afford to go back again. I have to make this stick and last for the rest of my life or there won't be much life left. Fortunately I've avoided diabetes/heart problems to this point and want to keep it that way.

Thanks again.

My stationary bike at home took a dump this morning, gonna take it apart and try to get it going again.

My ultimate goal is 225 pounds, which is a long ways off. But at 6'3", it seems more realistic than the traditional charts. For now, my short term goal is to get under 350 by the time we go on vacation this July.

Totally doable.
