Maybe he gets out there and there isn't a deal he wants and he comes back. It's possible. I could also end up with a foot long pecker, but....

Yea, I'm just not going to write off the possibility that they re-sign OBJ because of the lack of options alone.

Exactly. For all we know, the rest of the NFL sees what we see and his asking price simply drops.

Will it happen? Probably not. Could it happen? Yep, absolutely.

OBJ wont get the amount of money he wants on the open market. he is not that good.

But I guess there are some teams out there dumb enough to do it.

Well which is it? He won't get what he wants...or he will?

There's people here that insist OBJ is trash. If that's true, he's not getting a huge deal from anybody, even the Bears.

Can't have it both ways.

He'll probably at worst get offers from NE and Arizona, I don't think those teams wanna use their top 15 picks on OT's.

In FA everybody gets overpaid. Having said that, I’m having a hard time seeing a team other than Chicago, Arizona or Tennessee paying him.

Every other team with cap space has a LT on their roster

So you're basically down to two teams bidding on him. Not exactly indicative of a market that going to pay him more than the Chiefs already offered.

It's entirely possible nobody offers him anything close to what he wants and he comes crawling back to the Chiefs. It's happened before. Just look at what Williams did with the Chiefs.

It’s possible. But Ryan Polles has almost $100 million to spend and he needs a capable LT now to help his QB.

Why does he care if he overpays? He needs to fill holes not worry about money.

OBj isn't trash, but he's not ideal for Andy's system. He'd be fine as a run-blocking LT for a team that runs a lot more than the Chiefs. And now he's learned to be adequate as a pass-pro LT, but he's nothing special in that regard. Just serviceable. CHI might like to try him out, since their current LT isn't very good, at either apparently. That's just an example; I don't really know right now which teams are looking that operate a run-centric offense.

Of course.

That doesn't necessarily mean they'd be willing to dramatically overpay for him.
