BWJ's July:
.489/.520/.833/ 1.353 |
Thought of something...
The Royals are 12-2 against the White Sox, right? That means they are 48-47 vs everyone else. That's not actually saying much... IMO, we are the 2013 Royals. |

So, yes, being .500 (if you wanna discount the White Sux wins) is still saying something. The 2013 Royals finished 83-79 and were in the Wild Card race up until the final week of the season. I'd be good with that for this year. Take the next step next year . . . . . |

Being a Chiefs fan has really spoiled some people. It's almost as if they'd rather the Royals suck and be doormats just so they have something to bitch and moan about. Instead, we have a team that has a chance to make the playoffs, something we've been without for close to a decade. Every Royals fan should be enjoying this season, instead half of them are yearning to be losers so they can complain. |
Royals basically just need to go .500 the rest of the year and they will make the playoffs.

And the sixth seed would actually be a good spot. You get the AL West champ then Cleveland. Instead of New York and Baltimore.

For me, the Royals became fun again to follow late last season. They have been very fun to follow this year. They have two potential Hall-of-Famers (Salvy and Bobby) at 2 of the 4 spots "up the middle" and enough starting pitching to make postseason interesting, if they make it. Their run differential has been good all year, and is solidly ahead of the Twins and the Red Sox, their main competition for a wild card. |

This statistic has been floated around now for a week and he probably thought it was unique to his limbic system. |
