Have a lineup with a sixth OL starting at tackle eligible all game, and have that guy follow Garret on whichever side he lines up on. Not even joking.

It's going to be difficult to watch Thuney on an island with Garrett. But we know this will happen a few times. Just hoping we don't compound the problem by asking Pat to stand back there and go through more than 2 reads. |

I'm listening to Nate talk on the podcast right now and all he did was speculate that "I didn't see Thuney much this week which leaves me to wonder whether he was off learning another position he's not used to?"
Like someone said above If Thuney was the guy he would have moved to LT against the Chargers when DJ went down. Imo it will be Morris that starts and Thuney as his backup if things go like it did against the Raiders. Andy needs to run the ball to keep em guessing, give Morris chip help and let's go win a damn game. |
I'm actually excited about this. When you force Andy to play one handed he simplifies things. Bet the Chiefs just line up a TE next to the LT all day and give Garrett no chance.
This weekend will be a coaching masterclass from Andy Reid. |
I bet it is Thuney at LT. We need to know if that is a legit option for the playoffs if DJ doesn't work out.

The help they have been giving (other than Perine, who sacrificed his body) has largely been just chipping at best, and not the effective chipping that really slows guys down. I'm all for using a tight end (would prefer some 6 OL sets) if they practice actually what their blocking roles are. So far it has looked like "ole" and off I go to run a contested route. |
