When I lived in Sidney I got tendinitis in my patellar tendon. it was a bitch whore. You don't have to hack yourself all up to get an injury. If it's the knee, I usually go get it checked out. Ice the crap out of it in the interim.

Yeah, it was odd. Wasn't doing anything crazy at all, fairly slow pace, slight incline/decline path. Right about four miles in I started feeling something on the side of my knee.

Pretty steady pain since then. No pain in the knee, just on the outside of the knee.

You do know that alcohol reduces the body's production of testosterone, right?

As well, hops (which are used in beer) is/are a natural estrogenic.

Booze and beer basically makes you a bitch.

I been staying out of the beer but those calories from the Crown&7s are bad. I drink some Red Wine as well but I'm nobody's bitch.:D

I know a guy and he loved to run. He'd run all the time and he was lean and in shape but he hurt his knee. He had surgery and rehabbed by riding his bike but then when he was rehabbed he starting running again. Well his knee screwed up again so again he had surgery and rehabbed on his bike. Of course he went back to running and of course he ended up back on the cutting table....He should have stuck to the bike the pounding was just to much.

If its on the outside of your knee its not likely a knee issue.

The crappy news is it could be IT band syndrome, but they do have things you can do for that.

Better get a foam roller or a runners stick and get to work.

Here is some info.

This is unfortunately the same conclusion I came to from my online research. I realize self-diagnosis is a tricky business but the symptoms seem to match pretty well.

My wife was having IT band issues from running. Her physical therapist had her tape it up so she could run, but it didn't work. I had her try my foam roller and her problems were gone in a couple of days. It has not come back.

Foam roller helped my back problems as well.

I had almost the same issue. IT band inflammation from all the squatting and not warming up enough. Bough a foam roller and I now roll my IT band, hips, glute & hammies for 10 mins before I squat or dead lift. Makes a world of difference.

wish they had a better side angle of his lift. not to discredit or take anything away from it, its still 800lbs, but his depth looks sketchy. kinda looking at the angle of his thighs he looks a good couple inches above parallel. definitely would not get 3 white lights but I can only imagine what that shit feels like walking it out LOL.

My trainer stopped me in a set one time to have me watch a guy who had a shit tin of weight in the barbell and a couple of his buddies cheering him on. My trainer said, "Too bad it would never count as a squat." The dude wasn't even anywhere close to getting down to parallel.

Single Arm Lat Pull-Down - 3/12 (30 lbs)
One-Arm Seated Cable Row - 3/12 (30 lbs)
Decline Oblique Crunch - 4/12 (supposed to do 3/12, but I always add a set to this)
Side Lying Planks - 3 on each side @ 40 sec each
Incline Intervals

Tacked on a 500m row at the end, and I ended up setting a new PR on it...lol. Also, I went up to 80 lbs on my last set of Narrow Grip Lat Pull Downs. :)

Paging Silock, Aspen, and Bigcatdaddy. Need some takes from people who know more about adding muscle than me... http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showt...6#post10579706

Silock 04-23-2014 01:08 AM

It's possible for him. Probably not without some "help," but they're all on something, anyway. Now, when NFL guys say that they "put on 15 pounds of muscle," they're probably counting some fat in there, too, especially a lineman. But I wouldn't put anything past guys in the NFL, especially in the offseason.

But, awesome genetics + PEDs = possible. For you and I without steroids? Nope, not gonna happen (at least, not if you've been lifting for years like he has).

jiveturkey 04-23-2014 06:29 AM

Via very basic tracking I can say that I've added approximately 20 lbs of muscle over the last 3.5 years. Initially it was happening much more quickly.
