I don't think OBJ is getting the credit he deserves. He's quite a bit more than serviceable in pass protection.

Someone is gonna pay his giant ass. There just aren't enough quality LT's to go around.

LMAO He's perfect for Chicago and that's where he's going.

Veach makes a lot of GM's look putrid. If someone overlays for Orlando and Veach finds a cheaper solution with similar results, then that GM who overpaid got taken to the cleaners. Don't think for a second that's not on other team's minds.

You've got it wrong. He's trash and not worth the money. But there will be teams who pay him that because....

OBj isn't trash, but he's not ideal for Andy's system. He'd be fine as a run-blocking LT for a team that runs a lot more than the Chiefs. And now he's learned to be adequate as a pass-pro LT, but he's nothing special in that regard. Just serviceable. CHI might like to try him out, since their current LT isn't very good, at either apparently. That's just an example; I don't really know right now which teams are looking that operate a run-centric offense.

No team is going to "try him out".

When/if OBJ signs somewhere, it will be a multi-year, big money deal. That's what he wants and the SOLE reason he isn't still a Chief. Nobody thinks he would change his demands of the CHIEFS but you think he's going to do the exact opposite with other teams actually openly bidding for his services?

Yep, I'm sure other GMs are going into Free Agency and not looking at filling the holes on their roster without comparing themselves to the GM of another team.

You do realize that other teams run vastly different schemes than ours, right?

It would be a pretty good fit for him, no doubt. Don't know what TEN's cap situation is, but OBJ would be a good fit there.

Some of you have forgotten how good OBJ looked in Baltimore as a LT. He could easily go to Chicago and look like a top 5 LT in this league blocking for Fields.

Okay, poor choice of words on my part. Just remove that phrase and insert "make him a nice offer"

It makes too much sense. If Poles doesn't bring him in he's legit reeruned. OBJs strengths are magnified and weaknesses are neutralized blocking for a guy like Fields.

Look we know Veach is going to swing for the fences on this, for sure!

IF the Texans are considering trading Tunsil, Veach will be all over that. He has demonstrated that he will pay a top salary for a top LT. Again, IF that is a possibility. The Texans are rebuilding they have two first rounders already, maybe they go QB and LT in the draft? Use the massive amount of cap space to build the team out.

I believe that is likely the first choice for Veach IF it is even an option.

If it is NOT, they will draft one AND sign a vet. No way they only draft or only sign a vet.

Also, they wont trade up into the teens. I personally believe we can stay at 31 and get a LT but if a guy they really want drops to the high 20s, Veach usually has a read on which teams he needs to get ahead of. He will know at that point if we need to move up.

So it will look like Tunsil (longshot) or Rookie LT and Lewan/Dillard/Wynn/Smith...
