Nobody is going to say anything until they are sure all cell phone video has been obtained and reviewed 100 times in order to get their story straight.

I think we should draft FrozenChief.

All injuries were minor, luckily, but he's still in deep shit.

Misdemeanor hit and run: If the accident resulted only in property damage, leaving the scene of the accident without providing information and assistance is considered a Class C misdemeanor offense. Penalties can include fines up to $500.

Felony hit and run: If the accident resulted in injury or death, leaving the scene of the accident without providing information and assistance is considered a felony offense. The severity of the offense and potential penalties depend on the circumstances of the accident:

Third-degree felony: If the accident resulted in injury, but not serious bodily injury, penalties can include up to 10 years in prison and fines up to $10,000.

Second-degree felony: If the accident resulted in serious bodily injury, penalties can include up to 20 years in prison and fines up to $10,000.

First-degree felony: If the accident resulted in death, penalties can include up to life imprisonment and fines up to $10,000.

However, like any other place, depending on his criminal history and $$ for an excellent attorney, he will likely get probation and a fine and loss of his driver's license for a while.

The worst part will be the civil penalties. He will likely be sued by the drivers of the other vehicles and the business that rented him the car.

As far as the NFL goes, he shouldn't lose any time, but there is video and loud Florio's of the world crying. So, maybe they give him a game or two suspension at most.

Quoting of the law, good job but actual application of the law is more complex. How compliant to the law, in this case, complied with some of the provision, stopped his care at the scene but failed to render aid. so semi-compliant. second, how solid is the case, can they prove he was the operator because the law only applies to the vehicle's operator, third, was he cooperative after the fact, reached out with his lawyer and allegedly cooperating, 4th what is his previous record. not sure if he has any criminal record, if not, than this is a first offense and with the Chiefs he also probably has good oversight going forward, 5th what is his contribution to the community, I am thinking he probably has a charity set up, finally how severe was the damage, minor injuries and likely to be able to restitute for damage immediately. Finally willingness to negotiate a plea to save the state legal costs. Likely and reasonable result is a plea bargain to a level B Misdemeanor with a 5K fine, restitution to victims and either diversion or a 6 to 12 month probation.

Yes, both domestic abuse issues...

NFL discipline should be based solely on determination(s) made by the judicial system.

Urc Burry 04-02-2024 09:00 AM

He will no doubt get some sort of suspension.

But all the ‘up to 10 years in prison’ is dumb. He has money, a little fame, no priors, and there will be no proof he was under the influence. I would be veryyy surprised if after the coming court battle he ends up with a felony.

With all that said he is still a dumbass, and we can only hope it’s a learning experience.

He rented the lambo. He was definitely driving it.

What a f'n idiot. I mean what a f'n idiot. I went from loving this dude to absolutely hating this dumb mfer now.

loochy 04-02-2024 09:06 AM

Do I think he was driving it? Yeah. Can they prove he was driving it? I doubt it.

Yeah, I don't understand why people think it's going to be a point of contention whether he was driving or not. He rented the thing. He signed a contract saying he'd be the only driver. And he was wearing a red durag, which isn't exactly going to be inconspicuous on one of the dozens of traffic cams they drove by. Unless he actually wasn't driving (which would open him up to being financially responsible for the entire cost of the lambo), it won't be hard to prove it was him.

What do you mean I'm fired?

Where's the police report, arrest, and conviction?
