Whats your opinion on our run game? Think you can slow down Michel? I think we're going to need him to rush well because if he doesn't, I'm not sure if Brady is enough. I think Brady will score, but without our run game we will probably score less than 20. Maybe 16-17 ish.

Question for you: does JC Jackson play as well as his stats indicate?

Quote:

He leads qualified cornerbacks with a 33.7 passer rating allowed. He’s let up just 18 receptions on 36 targets for 213 yards with no touchdowns and three picks.
I'm really looking forward to watching him against our receivers.

JC is real good. Bill brought him along very slowly which is what he does when he knows he has something. He did it with Malcolm as well.

Useless numbers to chew on.

We know Mahomes has thrown 94 deep passes this year which was the most in the NFL.

The Patriots have the lowest deep completion percentage (24.2 percent) in the NFL.

Jackson is 1-16 in allowing deep passes.

I have no idea if he can stick with Hill outside the hashes but if anyone can, it's him.

He has shut down the top receivers in the NFL. Interesting how we have an all-pro CB on the other side.

So Bill has chosen to match up a rookie CB on the other team's top WR over an all-pro CB....wha?

Hill does most of his damage on the inside. We have JJ and Jason MCCourty. That won't be good enough.

JC has the ball skills but hes a rookie in the biggest game of his life. I hope he keeps his head.

We'll see.

Good info. Jackson runs a 4.46 40. Hill is 4.21 to 4.26. Whatever that is worth. And Hill is not a player that plays slower in pads. :)

The thing with Jackson is he has these long-ass arms, is twitchy and fluid in and out of his breaks - but not top end speed. If he hadn't been the driver on a series of break-ins with his homies he would have stayed at U of F and been a 2nd rd pick. Idiot.

FWIW I don't see JC manning up on Hill 100% of the time.

Hill is a different animal. No one like him out there. Hes a problem.

He's a problem for everyone. There is no answer, really. Especially if Watkins is on the field; you double Hill with deep help and Watkins will eat you alive. You play 2 deep, Kelce will eat you alive and we'll run the ball at will.

Yep.

If y'all want to get some insight into what the Pats MIGHT do this is a good read. Basically it's what we've been saying all week. More man, single high, rush 3 or 4 w 5-7 layered every 10 yds. Time the blitzes. Even then y'all are gonna put up 4TDs and over 400yds of O. Only so much y'can do.

I don't consider Mahomes a runner so if he does scramble, fine with me. Hows his knee.

I think we just need to see how good Williams is. If he starts gashing us on a 4 man front then that'll suck.

At the end of a season a team is nearly always what it was all year. “They can just switch it on when it counts!” Isnt supported by any real data. And the Pats are a really crappy road team this year.

That *could* change Sunday, but the odds are much heavily weighted that it won’t.

The game will come down to which Chiefs defense shows up. The one that's allowed 9 pts the last two games? Or the Red Carpet defense from the first 15.
There are physical reasons they've been markedly better-Ward and Lucas, a healthy Houston, some schematic changes. Will it hold up?

I tend to think so; but it's entirely possible they've just played over their heads the last two games.

They're not likely to have another performance like vs the Colts. They played well, but you can't expect a billion batted balls every game. Plus, there were some dropped balls and terrible decisions by the Colts that played into their hands.

But there's been marked improvement, and I think it's definitely a Super Bowl caliber defense paired with the offense.

Same here for Pats O. I think the D will keep us in it but the O has been spotty all year.

Tom is healthy and this is the best Pats O line in a long, long time. Pass and run blocking.

Just need the old man to deliver.

My Key to the Game: Pat's Legs

Movement in the pocket of course but his ability to run from a collapsing pocket and gain 15 yards at key times is what will win this game
