If we didnt have Berry, maybe.

It just doesn't make sense to me to have the top two biggest safety contracts.

We don't have Berry. We have some homeless looking guy who's been standing on the sideline for over a year.

Not a question.

Well if Alan Covington tweeted it out and a caller on Sirius XM says it, then it must be a fact.

You know that's because they aren't paying him right? He's pushing back because they are ****ing him over.

If Thomas is traded and given a new deal he will be a model employee I guarantee it. He'll probably also make some comments about how great it is to be wanted and appreciated.

With the way our offense is playing, if we can get one or two plays a game that result in a stopped possession for the other team, that is a huge deal. I’m willing to bet that most of our losses will be less than 7 pts. We don’t need to keep teams at 20 pts or less to win a ton of games. We just need one less scoring possession for opponents from here on out.

Get dirty Dan back and EB in late November for a playoff run. Profit...

He wants out of Seattle badly, this is the reverse Peters

Maybe we can benefit from a situation like that, it equals things out nicely... poetic justice

Exactly. Eric Berry is one of my favorite Chiefs ever but he can't help this team standing on the sideline. Earl Thomas makes this team an even stronger contender. They need to get it done.

How are we going to sign Fuller, Jones and DAT if we trade for Earl! :)

BigRedChief 09-25-2018 08:19 PM

The Chiefs are a natural trade partner. Everybody’s in the NFL knows we need help on defense. We have the extra 2nd rounder. We got the money next year to begin paying him as the highest paid Safety in the NFL.

If true, they have already agreed on the draft pick or picks.

Is it that he doesn't want to risk getting hurt on the final year of his contract, and thus lose out on more money? I'm just trying to understand it from his perspective on all this.

BWillie 09-25-2018 08:19 PM

Our corners aren't any worse than the rest of our defense. The problem is our linebackers have been dog shit. Hitchens and Ragland have been definitely below average. Very disappointing. Quite honestly since game 1 - Scandrick has been better than I thought and Fuller hasn't been quite as advertised but still a good corner. Xavier Williams has been a let down. I thought Chris Jones would take a big step forward and that hasn't happened yet. Justin Houston is still the best player on the defense but he hasn't dominated. Dee Ford was probably playing the 2nd best and he's now hurt. Parker and Murray have been below average. Can't blame it all on the CB's, though.

Mecca 09-25-2018 08:19 PM

Well we are a lot closer to Texas than Seattle is so that's a good compromise right?
