Yes I know, we did them in football too and that was over 30 years ago, we called it the sled. I just meant at a commercial gym, CF is the first place that I have seen them at outside of football.

Just wondering because we did the prowler yesterday during warmups. Haven't seen them used anywhere but CF, it's outside. Great day for it yesterday, but in July when it's 120 on the asphalt they really suck!

Eek. Being metal against the asphalt, I can only imagine the sound that makes. Ours in on a fake turf-like surface.

People will buy into some of the dumbest shit.

It's quite different from regular butter. Tastes WAY better.

Yeah you are right on that. I don't think I have seen them in commercial gyms either now that I think about it. I love the look I get from neighbors when I push it down the sidewalk. Dat ****a crazzyyy!!!

The Vit K2 they claim is so critical in grassfed butter is readily available in egg yokes, cheese, chicken breast, and ground beef and pretty much everything you are already eating.

In other words there are no health benefits over traditional butter and it cost more $.

If it makes you feel better, by all means buy it.

Hammock Parties 04-24-2014 01:11 PM

Just disregard the taste.

I think he's pointing out that if the whole premise is to recapture our paleo-heritage and eat like our ancestors, then justifying eating crap like butter is weak/lame.

You're either eating like our ancestors, or you're not. If you're not, then stop trying to sell the whole paleo ancestral heritage mantra.

Hammock Parties 04-24-2014 04:04 PM

Can we please get back on topic? Luv, how much of a badass were you in the gym today?

NewChief 04-24-2014 04:06 PM

As for paleo (and I eat paleo somewhat), it's pseudoscientific bullshit with a great marketing narrative.

He's probably talking about many of the "paleo dieters" that talk paleo but make more than a handful of exceptions all the time in their diet.

I agree and I'm in a similar diet boat as you.

I went down the paleo path for a bit but it was too restrictive and start looking like keto in disguise. I would now call my diet "whole food".

Things I've kept from the paleo day are grass fed beef, pasture raised chicken/eggs, fresh caught fish instead of farmed, eat organ meats, save bones and make my own broth. I think that's it.
