At Notre Lame he could recruit nationally and didn't necessarily have to forge close relationships with local high schools in a specific geographic area.

At LSU, it is expected that he'll be able to lock down the best recruits in the state of Louisiana and also be a regular contender for the top recruits in East Texas/Houston and Mississippi.

That will require building close relationships with high school coaches/programs in those areas... a potential struggle with his not so award winning personality/disposition.

Money, job security, easier admissions into university, better facilities, better recruiting pipeline. It might be easier to win a title at LSU but that doesnt mean Notre Dame cant win a title.

Kelly COULD win a title at ND. However, it's likely he WILL win a title at LSU.

ND isn't dogshit but LSU is in THE power 5 conference. They've got a better shot, year in and year out.
