Brian Kelly was maybe able to get away with being a jackass at Notre Lame but that shit will not fly at LSU.
At Notre Lame he could recruit nationally and didn't necessarily have to forge close relationships with local high schools in a specific geographic area. At LSU, it is expected that he'll be able to lock down the best recruits in the state of Louisiana and also be a regular contender for the top recruits in East Texas/Houston and Mississippi. That will require building close relationships with high school coaches/programs in those areas... a potential struggle with his not so award winning personality/disposition. |

And you can mock him for losing 3 games, but he has 2 of the 4 9 win regular seasons in Kentucky football history. And is recruiting better than all but 13 or 14 teams in the country currently. |

The Kelly move is literally him saying he can't win a title at ND in today's college football.

Kelly COULD win a title at ND. However, it's likely he WILL win a title at LSU. ND isn't dogshit but LSU is in THE power 5 conference. They've got a better shot, year in and year out. |
ND isn’t winning shit until they join a ****ing conference.

The problem is that this is the same situation Penn State had and they've found it significantly more difficult to get to 10 wins in the Big 10 than it was as an independent. |
Notre Lame was never competitive in their CFP games… Brian Kelly saw the ceiling and left.

He's going to retire a Hawkeye and honestly, it might not be that far away. |
