Teams watch games and sit player based on seeding. It’s complete horse shit to force our guys to play to win on Saturday for the 1 seed just to rip it away from them.

Not a do over.

You let them resume play from the moment the game stopped. It’s 7-3, with 5 minutes and however many seconds left in the first, down and distance, etc. may the better team win from that moment on. That would be fair. Or fair as it’s going to get. Far better than having the league office just arbitrarily declare a winner or a forfeit.

Week 18

Chiefs, Bengals, Bills win = Chiefs 1, Bills 2, Bengals 3

Week 19
NFC wild card games
AFC playoff teams get bye
Bengals beat Bills = Chiefs 1, Bengals 2, Bills 3?
Bills beat Bengals = Bills 1, Chiefs 2, Bengals 3?

Week 20
NFC playoff teams get bye
All AFC playoff teams play except #1 seed

-So this would take away a week between Champions games and the Super Bowl. Playoffs before the SB would take 4 weeks instead of the regular 3 weeks.

-ALL AFC teams would get a full week off before playoff games except Bill and Bengals.

-NFC teams get a bye week between WC and Divisional games.

-BOTH AFC and NFC #1 seeds, this could change for the AFC after week 19, get two straight bye weeks.

I don't like it and honestly IF the plan on having Bills/Bengals play they should move BOTH Bills/Pats and Bengals/Ravens game to SAT and then IF needed have them play that make up game on Wed. This is a normal short week schedule and then just have the AFC WC games on Sunday so again it would be a normal short week schedule. OR even put AFC WC games on Monday to give 1 extra day.

It is my understanding and maybe some sort of rule but teams are supposed to have a minimum of 6 days off prior to playoffs or between playoff games

We were never going to play after the Bills, so we were always going to be forced to play to win this weekend. Nothing has changed except your feelings.

This whole situation has turned into a complete cluster ****. :shake:

If the Bengals won then the Ravens would have been locked into the 6 seed and could have done whatever. As it stands, without a decision they have to now play the game as if the Bengals lost, only to maybe find out it was for nothing.

If the NFL said from the outset the game is being played tonight then they could give a forfeit to Bills. As it is they seem to have given them as much rope as they like and now are dealing with all kinds of regrettable scenarios because they didn’t just reschedule the game.

LMAO

But it's a conspiracy theory to assume that there are a significant amount of Bills players that still don't want to play Sunday?

I would expect pretty much all of them to say something like this regardless of how much they do or don’t believe.

No telling what might happen if those poor souls have to face the trauma of the schedule being altered or the Chiefs kicking playoff ass wearing white jerseys in another zip code.

Conspiracy theory? No. Everyone being insanely respectful of whatever the Bills ultimately decide and not wanting to be on record in a way that will bite them in the ass? Absolutely.

If you or anyone else actually thinks any of this alleged “smoke” means the Bills are definitely angling to not play the game, I’ll take bets to the contrary. Lemme know.

The moment the game was suspended, some team was going to feel like they got screwed somehow no matter how it played out. Or at least their fanbase(s) anyway.

I don’t get chiefs fans feeling that way, as the Chiefs are really in the same exact boat they were in before what happened anyway, but whatever.

Chiefs still have to win out, and hope BUF loses a game. SSDD.
