Wearing the team that you are playing, old uniforms, is ****ing stupid. There has to be a better ****ing helmet than the state of Texas.

Texas can suck my weiner. I could care less about any "homage" to the history of a football team I happen to root for. I've been a fan of the Kansas City Chiefs most of my life. I was never a fan of the Dallas Texans. I would never ever, ever be a fan of the Dallas Texans. I appreciate Lamar taking the team out of that hole and giving us a team in my part of the country. That doesn't mean I have to like a state of Texas sticker on my teams helmet... since I can't stand the place.

I understand perfectly why they're doing it and I don't even actually have a real problem with it. I just hate Texas and have no allegiance to the dufunct Dallas Texans. **** the Dallas Texans. I prefer the Kansas City Chiefs. They aren't the same thing in my book.

The good thing is it's just a freakin football team logo and history. It's not like it matters. No ones burning the flag or hanging a cross upside down. I just think Texas sucks and the uniforms are ugly.

That is, in no way, the Dallas Cowboys old uniform.

It's still the team from DALLAS, with a great big state of Texas on the helmet-throw back or not-that's a bad idea to wear your opponents home state on the side of our helmet on opening day. Bad karma.

This is pretty ****in weird. I bet we lose.

So the Jets are gonna be the Titans, the Titans are gonna be the Oilers, and the Chiefs are gonna be the Texans. Who are the Texans gonna be?

Odds are, you'd win that bet... but it wouldn't have a damned thing to do with the ****in' outfit our team wears when facing theirs.

If you wanna get all superstitious, you could say the ghost of Lamar will smile on the Chiefs, and they'll pound the shit out of his old AFL/NFL rival.

I'm just saying, yeah... it's a little weird....but I "get" it. I respect the history. And really, it's only a few games.

If we were wearing it AT Dallas, I could see a little more "historical rivalry" in the matter.

But to have it as home game? That just spells "put a check mark in the "L" column, please".

Ugh. And yuck.
