Yep....I want him gone and I've been a supporter of his most of the year. I don't think there is one single thing that he has improved on this team. We could lose him tonight and lose nothing as far as the rebuild goes. He brings nothing to the table.

yes

Rausch 12-20-2009 05:42 PM

How much can I say yes?

Is there a word that means more than yes?...

I was a Haley supporter through the midseason. After Hermie, anything was better. Boy how bad things have gotten. I'd love to say, "nope, let's keep Haley and see what he can do in his second year." But it will be but yet another Chief's attempt at patching the leaking dam. The whole team sucks with the exception of Charles. And he's not a 30 carry a game back. He will be done if soon the way he's being used. They definitely need an offensive coordinator, a defensive coordinator, at least one position each of defense, a whole new O-line, WR's that can catch and a QB coach that can show Cassel how to throw the ball and not go into fetal position 2 seconds after the ball is snapped. There is probably more, I'm too damn pissed to go further.

And I was correct back then.

Am I the only one who thinks Haley's offense would work with better players? As bad as we are, we often have players in position to make plays- unfortunately, they eff it up. Imagine if we had more talented players (accurate QB with an arm, receivers who actually catch, Oline worth two shits). I think Haley's offense works, I just don't think we have the players to run it (or any other, for that matter). Our roster is a mess.

him and Pioli are still riding on Herm's coat tails. give it a year or two. sheesh

For whom is this not true?

Haley's "ability" to manage a game would prevent the best team from winning a championship, and this is all that matters.

Good thing, too, otherwise we'd have a kicker and Chambers.

Our regime's ability to evaluate talent has been stellar, which is why Charles was inactive earlier in the season.

Our best player was inactive while a broke dick, 2.7 YPC, spitter was getting the carries. Let that sink in for a bit.

RustShack 12-20-2009 06:04 PM

Haley should be given a chance to coach a team with a coaching staff. Its not his fault Pioli was hired late, and its not his fault he was hired late. Its also not his fault Clark pushed Gailey onto them. This shit takes time. Seriously, how many first year coaches have taken complete shit winning team in one year?

Haley's game management has been awful, yes, but I don't think it has cost us as much as the derth of talent on the roster. for this reason, I wouldn't upset to see Haley again next year. He definitely needs to learn some control, but at least he is aggressive. Of course, if there is a better head coaching option, I wouldn't cry to see him go, either.

RustShack 12-20-2009 06:10 PM

We need a new assistant head coach. A white one who can manage the clock for Haley... whats Dick Curl doing?

That happens all the time in the NFL. How did Tom Brady get into the starting lineup? Kurt Warner? Hell, teams have completely discarded guys like Rich Gannon (out of football for a couple of years before Marty picked him up).

I'll get blasted for this by some, but, I could give a ****:

If Bill Cowher would take the job, you give it to him in an instant. Immediate, HUGE upgrade for the entire organization.

I believe he's evolved enough as a coach to compete at the highest level. Now, would he agree not to have complete control and work with Pioli? That's the only question.
