They went out and signed MORE free agents than ANY team in the NFL. They traded their supposed "Franchise QB" for a former 4th rounder and picks. People around here "laughed" at the Broncos moves (I did not). They now have Chicago's first rounder in the 2010 draft and will be good for years.

NOT because of what was left behind but because of what was added and HOW McDaniels and Mike Nolan have coached up that team.

I'm stating that I would have like to have seen PROGRESS.

I would have to have seen IMPROVEMENT FROM WEEK TO WEEK.

This team is NO better than it was in Week One and quite honestly, they may have been better in week one than they are in week 14.

I disagree, there has been improvment. The problem is, when one area improves another steps back.

Oh really?

Please, detail.

Otherwise, it's just blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.

In other words, HORSESHIT.

The 2008 Chiefs were much better than this years imitation of a football team. Last years team was much better on Defense. This team gave up 41 points to the freaking Broncos AT ARROWHEAD!! Haley should have been fired after that game. This team has given up.

I'm not going to dismiss Pioli after year one. I'm not happy with the direction he's taken with the team and HOPE he has a plan.

Haley, on the other hand, can just GO. He hasn't shown the propensity of being a solid head coach. He hasn't grown over the course of the season. The QB and the offense have both gone backwards over the course of the season.

I think it falls back to execution. Haley hasn't been that bad, but the team has sucked at keeping drives alive. When a team leads in the NFL in drops, that's a reflection of the players. There is absolutely no way, Haley is pleased with that, but he has to coach who he has. If we had a sure-handed WR and a solid O-line, Haley looks alot better as head coach, IMO. I expect no less, than 12 new faces on this team next year, at the bare minimum.

Last week, drops caused Haley to embarrass himself with a challenge and botch TOs and 4th down calls?

After LJ basically cut himself and Haley and Pioli were forced to play a more talented player, yes, the running game improved.

Why wasn't Charles getting more touches earlier in the season? Would it take away from possible touches from playmakers like Long and Wade?

JFC, give them credit for cutting LJ.

Did they have a choice, honestly?

This regime has preached "the right 53." Could they continue to sell that line of bullshit if they retained LJ?

Late in here, but...

Not so. Lovie Smith did that just last week, and I'm sure there have been others.

But don't let that distract you from your obsession that everything Herm ever did was worse than anything anyone else ever did. Or that that somehow exempts any other Chiefs coach from any kind of rational criticism.

My personal thoughts....................

Haley has had his hands tied. Having to play LJ hindered the running game early. Being forced to play Cassel because of the large contract. Any other QB on another team with this guys performance would have been benched for at least one game. Removing the offensive coordinator and then installing himself. I think pressure from Clark Hunt limited Haley's options for the offensive coordinator. So many things and people are wrong at Arrowhead. Could anyone have corrected this mess soon?

FFS, yes they had a choice.

No, they did not. Not if they wanted to retain even a shred of legitimacy.

LJ essentially cut himself.

"The right 53" also could include a homophobic, broke dick RB? LMAO. Yeah. Ok.

They had no choice. Trey Hillman even agrees.

Blocking has improved?

Who's blocking?

Do you mean the fact that Wade Smith, last year's starter at right guard, is superior right guard to Alleman, Nsukwe & Goof, has improved the offensive line play?

NO ****ING SHIT.

Are you implying that Brandan Albert, after being asked to quickly lose 30 pounds and earlier struggled with strength and endurance issues because of that (along with a new blocking scheme) is performing better later in the seaons?

NO ****ING SHIT.

But WHO have they coached up? Why were the personnel evaluations so GOD ****ING AWFUL?

WHY is Rudy Niswanger on an NFL squad?

And for the record, the line STILL sucks ass.

And regardless of these so-called "improvements", the Chiefs still SUCK offensively.

Cassel has had more time the last several games than he did the first several. You seem to ignore my posts where I slam Pioli for standing pat with Niswanger and Waters and ? at RT.
