Mens' figure skating started already? :shrug:

So, I had recorded the ceremony so that I could watch a hockey game, and the recording cut out right after the malfunction. Rep to anyone who can point me in the direction of video of the last 10-15 minutes or so of the ceremony.

That was cool. Speedskater set an Olympic record and finally won a gold, and runs across the ice, climbs the fence, climbs the camera-dolly track, climbs the spectator glass, and runs into the stands to hug his parents and suck face with his chick. :) THAT"S what the Olympics are about.

why aren't they showing events non stop?

are there really no events going on till 2 in the afternoon and 8 at night?

short track is up. Fun stuff to watch.

short track speed skating. By far the best event of the winter olympics, controversy, intense, always close, usually guaranteed to see crashes.
