The Manning possibilities are many. I can see Denver making it happen in order to dump Tebow so they can just start over when Manning is done. Manning has to take that job of course. But my sense is every errant toss annoys Elway and he can't take much more.

The Jets have a similar issue with a locker room of chaos. I can't see Manning coping with that unless he feels he can tame it, which is possible. But my sense is that Ryan is on a shorter leash and Manning won't want to share blame as his skills erode, so forget it.

Miami is the real competition here, but who would want to compete with the Patriots who yet AGAIN seem to have a favorable schedule. Even if they pay up there's enough of that crap to give him second thoughts, even if he relished the challenge. Miami has some potential free agents and the Chiefs would like to have a couple but they might not want to leave if Manning comes there, is there enough money to go around...interesting question.

I think the best move here is to bet the farm and make a deal with the Rams this weekend. It'll cost a lot, but worth it in the end. Boom or Bust?

This morning, Karl Mecklenburg happened to be on the sports station I listen to. They asked him his opinion about the situation, and that's exactly what he said: the Broncos should do anything they can to keep Manning out of KC, and if that means driving the price through the roof, so be it.

I think absolutely any shot the Broncos take is just to drive the price up. They have no real interest in him because their fanbase would revolt if the holy one were replaced. That doesn't mean Condon won't use those fake offers to jack up the price to other teams. Peyton may be looking for a championship, but Condon is looking for a payday.

Manning isn't going to Denver. He isn't going to a situation where a significant percentage of the fanbase thinks that Teblow is Jesus.

Manning won't go to Denver because he worships Jesus, and not Tebow.

Dammit, Condon is an ex-Chief. Where is his loyalty?!

I understand that line of thinking, but Condon is a pretty savvy agent. I can him seeing through any bs smokescreen.

That would be smart of Denver. If Peyton does choose KC and he's healthy we will win the division by week 9.

He's upset that Irsay fired Polian and so many of the folks he respected. Some of his favorite players are free agents. Once Luck arrives, Manning is the lame duck, rather than the star. Lots of reasons I think.

I don't think Manning goes to Denver for the reasons many have stated. However, as a Chiefs fan, I have to love the controversy at QB in Denver.

McHoodie wanted Cassel and ruined his relationship with Cutler over it. Chiefs won in that deal. Now Fox and Elway are ruining the relationship with and confidence of Tebow. You have to like it. They won't get Manning, and the whole exercise of their involvement will leave behind scars that will not easily heal. Bravo John Elway. :)
