Like Deez said, the guaranteed number is what matters.

I realize injuries happen, but not to your biggest offensive weapon and possible your best defensive player in the same season, for hte whole season.

Take away Ed Reed and Ray Rice and the Ravens don't make the AFC Champ game.

Not at all. Would you pay Bowe 100 million dollars?

Last I heard the hangup was basically over guaranteed money.

Which is kinda stupid and reeks of Clark Hunt.

Fine. Why do you care about Clark's money or a make-believe cap?

Fans: I'd be willing to sign him for $25M guaranteed, but not $35M.

Why? What a ****ing asinine position, unless your Clark's personal accountant. Why in the world would you care?

Is Bowe a very good WR? That's the only question that should matter. If the answer is yes, he's a #1, you should want him re-signed. Period.

The cap DOES NOT EXIST.

The bottom line on this issue is simple. Bowe puts up top 10 WR numbers with bottom 10 QB play.

I bet they would beat Tim Tebow at home.

That doesn't explain why you assumed the contract was 100% guaranteed.

You mean the goose egg he took when he was running all over the field wide open, yet Cassel didn't throw him the ball ONCE?

$100M means nothing. Only the guaranteed money matters.

If we sign him to a 8 year $100M contract and it makes headlines, whatever. What's the guaranteed amount? Everything else is bullshit.

****. Beat me to it.

O.city 07-17-2012 06:12 PM

I really don't give a shit about the money.

I do know one thing. You keep letting your best players walk without paying them, your gonna start seeing your fans get a little pissed.

Better yet, we beat him on the road.

DeezNutz 07-17-2012 06:13 PM

Hmm...I think he's worth 27.65, but I wouldn't go any higher. /CP

I want wins, and Bowe is an essential contributor on this team. The fact that fans care about any more than this is strange to me.

Imperfect analogy: How do wealthy people protect themselves from too much financial exposure in terms of risk, taxes, etc.?
