You're just talking out of your ass.

Mike Nolan was a bad head coach, regardless of the QB. Mike Singletary had NO business as a head coach.

No, Reid showed that he could be successful with the 2nd overall pick.

Do a search of my posts. There's one that shows how piss-poor the QB play has been under Reid when you take McNabb out of the equation.

Alex played and won games and was short of SB. Even though his play was conservative or "game manager" he made the big play when needed. He didn't shit the bed like Cassel when managing games. What makes you so sure that he's going to suck so bad?

He sucks? Sure, we'll draft one. We know we have a coach who will do it. He overpaid for Alex and this makes me think he'll give up what it takes to draft one. He did it when he believed McCNab was the answer. He went after Namdi when he wanted a CB and gave Vick a chance even though no one wanted him.

I'll give Alex a year. Because he played good enough to earn it.

Drafting a 3rd or 4th round QB will be an icing in the cake.

I'm not as convinced that we know for a fact that we've seen the best out of Alex Smith. Some of you are...more power to you, especially if you end up being right.

I'd rather wait and see where Alex Smith, Geno, and Barkley measure up after the next 2-3 years before I decide what the right call was. That's just me though. But I am guessing there were some 49er fans that had to end up eating crow regarding Steve Young.

That approach didn't work when MR. Shit-for-brains-Pioli considered the QB postion was set after trading for Matt Cassel. It resulted in him ignoring the postion in the draft and passing on genuine talent. It also, got him fired. I prefer there be real competition between our mediocre and crappy QBs. At least that way, the team gets to field the best guy for the job. This totaly stinks of a major contract extention before Smith does a damn thing. Hey if you are going to ruin your team then go all out and screw it up for the long haul.

@ArrowheadAddict: Dorsey: Since the beginning of this process, we've always had our eye on Alex.

@ArrowheadAddict: Smith: I'm ready for this.

@ArrowheadAddict: Smith: I can't say how excited I am for it. Thankful for the opportunity.

I Agree with this tweet:

@Lance_THESPOKEN: Dorsey said the reason they signed Alex is because quote "He's shown he can play football at a very high level." WHEN????? #Chiefs

THE BEST ONE OF THEM ALL:

@Lance_THESPOKEN: Yes, Andy Reid just said they're gonna "work on getting Alex Smith in the Hall of Fame." Take it as you will, I didn't make it up. #Chiefs

They're already sold on Smith, way to keep your options open dick suckers:

@APdaveskretta: Andy Reid: "I'm going to tell you every position we try to create competition ... but I'll tell you, Alex is the starting QB" #Chiefs

Let me know when he's gone, I'm done with this shit organization.

@DannyParkins: Talked to #Chiefs GM John Dorsey away from the media and he says it's absolutely fair to say they view Alex Smith as longterm answer at QB.

This is hilarious.
You expected the general manager of an organization to flame his newest employee?!!

Ried benched and traded Donavan, he benched Vick, he traded Kolb, He will throw Alex under the bus if he needs to.

CP when things do not go according to their wishes.

A D is always better than F but all are the same really.

Fritz88 03-13-2013 05:54 PM

We arguably got the best coach in the market (A proven one).

We arguably got the best GM candidate in the market.

If they make a move that CP does't like, they'll be nullified and those who support them will be labeled mediocre wiener buffers.

I hated the Alex trade at first, but after thinking about it, I would say it was a safe gamble. We have all the history to prove that the people managing the team will draft a first round QB if they have to.

My first reaction hearing the comments about Smith and the future is to throw up. Reality is, no matter what their actual opinion is, they obviously weren't going to bash the guy. Supporting a guy you just gave up great(sigh) picks for is expected. My issue is that I don't see them getting a guy to push Alex, especially with the Daniel signing.

If there is one part of the Pioli regime I can not relive, it's the fact that there was never any hope or alternative in the cupboard. It's only been a few months, but I do worry about this, whether it's fair to the regime or not.

I believe, that if they thought there was a qb in this draft that they were sold on, they wouldnt of signed Chase Daniels.

They clearly werent sold on geno, or barkley, and instead are going to take a one year flyer on alex smith, and re-evaluate.

to be fair, Harbaugh took Singletary's 6-10 team to the NFC Championship the next year, so it would be pretty unfair to put that on Alex Smith.

Draft is not over yet.

It's very likely they'll draft one.
