Thats has nothing to do with would we be the same record as Dallas with Romo at Qb. That infers that Romo is the reason they suck.

Those 2 aren't the same comparison dude.

It's another example that team records rarely are truly indicative of qb play. Depends on scheme/philosophy etc.

Good god, ATL is having Jacquiz Rogers run back kickoffs? That's a sign of a team that hasn't drafted well. Geno has an arm, he throws with power and a nice spiral. But so did Kent Graham, Aaron Brooks, etc.

Yeah, it's too early to say one way or another, but the upside on Geno is pretty high. Of course he could turn into Aaron Brooks as well and bottom out.

That's not the point.

Geno Smith is looking like a far better investment than Eric Fisher.

Not by much. Before this week he was on pace to turn the ball over 44 times, more than any QB has turned it over through 4 games (according to ESPN).

Why are you judging this so early? It's a month into their rookie year. Give it time.

Falcons are poster child for how Not to build a team. All skill players-no substance.

That wasn't the question dude are you being intentionally obtuse?

Would KC be 5-0 with Geno at QB? That is a yes or no question.

So Alex Smyth sucking but not turning it over is good enough?

Geno was a dumpster fire against the Titans last week. No way do we beat them with Geno as our QB.

Alex is also clutch, unlike Geno. He's been very good in the 4th quarter.

Have to go for it.

Mr. Laz 10-07-2013 07:52 PM

just kick the field goal

BossChief 10-07-2013 07:52 PM

Haha. Some of you act like Alex Smith hasn't thrown terrible passes.

He has thrown AT LEAST 5 passes that defenders straight dropped. All quarterbacks make mistakes.

Also...

When a defense has to defend the whole field because of the opposing quarterbacks ability to throw it anywhere with good velocity...that leads to wide open receivers all day.

That's the point.

I hope Alex can continue to step up in critical times and trust himself to attack deep more and more. If he does, that's what will get us into the picture.

I'm pulling for Alex to do these things, but I can't lie and say it doesn't suck watching Geno sling that pig and think what could have been.

They fear Geno! They need those points!
