I never thought he'd fire anyone after one year. But after the Eagles' last playoff loss Reid coached, he directly said in his season-ending presser that he wasn't firing his defensive coordinator. Then he fired him a few days later.

So it's not like his word is etched in stone.

I'll bet Emmit Thomas "retires" but that's about it.

Dude was, maybe still is, COY candidate.

Fire Sutton

Discuss Thrower 01-06-2014 09:39 AM

Nick Athan suggesting the Chiefs demote or hire an assistant for Sutton.. Also pointed out lack of cap room and the need to find 5 new starters on defense.

Who are the 5 starters on defense they need so badly? People act like we should have pro bowlers at every position. We need a new free safety and another corner. Another ILB would be nice but we really didn't play with 4 lb's that much. Jordan or Nico are good enough.

Athan said DE ILB FS and a corner.

It's fun watching this dipshit try to talk baseball on twitter, LOL.

Knew this would happen

Andy Reid won't make any coaching changes until someone forces him.

fears about Sutton look to be correct ...

He doesn't really know defense, he is just mimicking the defensive scheme he saw someone else coach. Can't adjust, doesn't know what to do when that scheme doesnt' work.

I don't think DE is a need for a new starter. Even if Jackson leaves, Bailey or Catapano wouldn't be much if any of a drop off. We need to draft some depth there

kepp 01-06-2014 10:30 AM

Any of you have a windowless van you can "lure" Sutton away in?

Throughout the season many different players expressed how much they liked the guy. We just need to learn from this game and move forward and I think they will.

When we went to Denver we got our ass kicked early and the game was to big for us. We didn't weather the storm.

When we went to Indy we learned from that mistake and hit on all cylinders from the get go.

All this team needs is experience and they have shown they can learn from it. This team will not lose like that in the playoffs again. I guarantee it.

If the power structure is:
Hunt
Dorsey-Reid

Reid just needs to be convienced. Hunt has been down this path of D coordinator changes a few times. Robinson-Gunther Pendergast-Romeo

Don't hold your breath waiting for Hunt or Dorsey to be forcing his hand after 2 - 14 to 11 - 6 .

Even though in the real world if you started a new job, and you performed well for the first 5 and a half months, but then continually did worse, only to majorly **** up something at the end of the year that cost your company big time, we all know how that turns out. Mainly with you carrying a cardboard box of your belongings and being escorted out by security.

That's a simple fact for anyone else who works for someone in 99% of the cases.
