Just heard that a JEA worker was injured in the Mandarin area and is being transported to the hospital.

Be safe out there guy!

I'm guessing his location but if he is 20 miles inland the storm surge isn't going to affect him. But it's going to be a soggy and windy one.

We are about 47 miles inland and we are seeing driving rain and some heavy blowing wind.

Yea I live in Daytona Beach Shores. We got a mandatory evacuation. We got over the bridge and are about 15 miles inland at a friends. Not much flooding here just a lot of debris and trees down

I think you should get double time and a half for "Hurricane Pay".

Cool, for some reason I thought you were going to stay, mother up to a few cold packs and ride it out. Smart move getting the hell out of there.

They were just showing some pics from Daytona Beach and man there is some major water showing on the roads. I see that they are starting to have power outages in St John's County and along the beaches near Jacksonville.

Just heard that in Clay County where I live already 9% of their customers are without power.

I will after this. The whole eastern coast of Florida is our territory and we've been working a bunch of OT without these storms.

Just lost power at the house a few minutes ago. Luckily I pre-made a bunch of coffee in preparation for losing power, so I should be good through the weekend.

Spott.....sounds like you might be stuck over where you are....they mentioned that they are monitoring the Buckman Bridge for closing it to traffic.

It kind of looks like it. My GF lives in Mandarin so I can go back there without crossing a bridge. I am over by the town center now and am probably going to head there soon.

Be safe guy....out here where we are it has calmed down a little for now but I am pretty sure it will pick back up soon.

You too. Looks like the bad part isn't here yet. OP shouldn't get too much damage (hopefully).
