I don't want to break the sanctity of rep comments, except I will state generally. . . There is an Old Chicago Pizza in Overland Park.

In-N-Out is the most overrated burger chain of all time.

I'll never understand the fascination with a thin, tiny patty, soggy fries and no condiments other than Thousand Island dressing.

Gross.

You and I are related (I'm likely your son).

In-N-Out and Chipotle are the most over-rated fast food chains of all-time.

In total agreement. Chipotle is just a bland version of Moe's, and I was compeletely disappointed when I went out west and ate at an In-N-Burger. That place sucked ass and was no better than Burger King, Wendy's, etc. I heard all about how great it was and it was mentioned in the Big Lebowski so I figured it had to be decent, but it was just a crappy ass burger place that you'd expect to find at the food court of some old mall.

I'm guessing he is on a budget and want's cheap eat's, decent, but doesn't break the bank.

You will have no problem, pick a place, coupons help.

EDIT: Wait a minute! You're not the OP!

Is the Red Lobster in Hilton Head better than KC's because it's on the coast even though the lobster isn't from SC?

I'd rather go to a non chain serving local seafood.

Steak & Shake's $4 menu has some decent values. I always get the #14

England isn't exactly known fir their fine food right? So perhaps these fast food places will be much more appealing to a novice. Wendy's is good for the ultra super quick (not so cheap anymore) fast food place. I am not sure if Florida has steak burger places like Freddys or Steak n Shake but those are generally pretty good options. Five Guys is overrated and the grease will put a hole in the bag before you get it home.

Jamie Oliver is a hell of a Chef.

I will add to the confusion at Chipotle being so highly regarded. People think it's healthy for some odd reason so that skews opinions. I also think that people see them cooking and making the food and it gives the illusion that it is somehow superior. I don't find room temperature "Mexican" all that appealling.
