I have no doubt they are the best team in the AFC - but you can't make it so hard on yourself with drops, penalties, bad coaching decisions, etc.

I'm bummed to not get the WC Weekend off, but it is what it is.

Exactly right, situation and timing is everything

A team can be penalized much less than the other, but still get jobbed out of a W if the refs time it up right

You also can’t deny the entertainment value of some of these games. Despite being a rig job today, that was an awesome viewing experience (especially for neutrals).

Difference is, I don't pretend it's not rigged. That would be like going to a WWE match and getting mad at a manager's interference - it's the suspension of disbelief that allows one to engage in the collective effervescence.

The Chiefs losing this week sets up more drama and ratings for next weekend than the Chiefs winning

I've said that the NFL scripting games is dumb in the past, but damn it's hard to look at the officiating in this game and be like oh this is a fluke and everything is definitely on the up and up.

The fact that fans would think that games could be rigged is problematic for the NFL

That's a good point. The Chiefs have won several close games this year with the help of shitty officiating. This was a really poorly officiated game, but it wasn't really all against the Chiefs.
