Half a million without power sofar

FlaChief58 09-28-2022 12:26 PM

We're starting to get some of the outer bands now. Winds and rain are picking up, but we still have power

mr. tegu 09-28-2022 12:35 PM

So it looks like this will just be a bit worst than a bad thunderstorm for Tampa?

Luckily we were always scheduled to leave Tuesday so we didn’t have to worry about much but if we were leaving today we definitely would have been stuck hoping for a flight change or driving all the way home or I guess maybe to a different airport.

Miami has flights or they did anyway.

Cantore just about got taken out on the weather channel. Even for him this hurricane might be a bit too much. That's going to end up as a GIF all over the internet.

90% of the flights out of Miami are cancelled today

Source: I’m in the MIA airport and am lucky enough to have an non-cancelled flight.

Ask if they'll fly through the eye for you. That would be cool.
