I'm holding out hope this story is fake.

supposedly it happened hours ago... and there's nothing on this but one fake looking article.

Every reference to this incident leads back to this article.

Im calling fake.

I’m worried that’s because it’s middle of night. Hoping you’re correct but I have a bad bad feeling

Yep. People on here are acting like these guys are average Joe blows making $80k a year lmao. I’d bet he receives no jail time at all.

Even if he doesn't get jail and even if he avoids a suspension... it is absolutely brutal to the team for him to be in this situation, after Ruggs, after winning the SB. Regardless of how this shakes out the dude needs to make better decisions in life.

I'm crossing my fingers that he was a passenger and not the driver but I'm not holding out hope. If he hit and run...

This wasn't some random blogger writing an article it's the Dallas Morning News. They're one of the biggest newspapers in the country. This is going to be all over the media in the morning.

Best case scenario… The vehicle was registered in his name but he wasn’t driving or even at the scene.

RealSNR 03-31-2024 01:14 AM

How do these ****ing idiots manage to breathe?

You're a starting WR for a Super Bowl winning team as a rookie. If you can manage to not do shit like this, you're bound to get paid life-changing money in a few years.

And instead you think this kind of ridiculous crap is more valuable to you.

Holding out hope for the small chance that he wasn't driving the car. If he was... honestly, just **** him. Get rid of that shit yesterday.

Police are looking for Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice in connection with a major accident Saturday evening in northeast Dallas, law enforcement officials confirmed to The Dallas Morning News.

A vehicle believed to be registered or leased to Rice was involved in a crash on North Central Expressway at about 6:20 p.m., officials told The News. The law enforcement officials said that police are looking for Rice, and a police call sheet obtained by The News confirmed that law enforcement officials were searching for him in connection with the accident.

His alleged involvement in the crash is unclear. A Dallas police spokesperson did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Rice was not appearing in Dallas County jail records as of about 12:40 a.m. on Sunday. It was not immediately clear if he is suspected of any charges or if anyone was injured in the crash.

Rice grew up in North Richland Hills and attended Richland High School, where he was a 3-star recruit before committing to SMU. There he became one of the most successful wide receivers in Mustangs history, fifth all-time in yards among SMU receivers.

Yeah, IF he was actually driving the car and drunk and caused a huge wreck, cut him once you verify it. No need to keep that distraction on the team.

I guess it’s a good thing we signed Hollywood. We almost certainly may be going 1st round WR now.

That said, still holding out hope he’s not involved.

Hopefully this is just an eager beaver jumping the gun and report speculating. We’ll see, I guess.
