I would have made a mess of that situation. I have a no bullshit attitude and would have gone off on her.

I have before when a family member speared a piece of sausage out of biscuits and gravy held it in front of my face and said what is that! That particular family member has learned to phrase questions better now.

She’s not worth the effort. Nonetheless it’s tough to keep the hole in my face shut.

Mixed, caramel (especially hot chocolate), vanilla (root beer), peach (Malibu)... and didn't find a great apple mixer, because seemed like it would get lost in whatever I'd mix it with.

Damn, wouldn't have thought about lemonade but that sounds delicious. And I guess maybe blackberry tea might work.

Or if you have 2nd thoughts about getting lit on Thanksgiving, guess you could always try it with limoncello or lemon vodka. LMAO

You can always go with soda water simple syrup and either lime or lemon juice, I works with basically any liquor. I like calvados with it, basically a riff on a tom collins.

Also a Kir Royale is always a good use for fruit liqueur like cassis (black currant) or Chambord, it's just dry champagne and a bit of whatever liqueur

Also if you can find it and you really like apple, try pomme eau. It's calvados mixed with cider and then aged in I think oak. It's technically a dessert wine but it's pretty strong but very tasty.

I hate pumpkin pie. I hate pumpkin EVERYTHING. It's one of those things that I simply cannot comprehend why or how other people like it. And I really hate it when coffee shops kick normal flavors I like to the curb to offer pumpkin-flavored crap instead.

The worst part of my favorite season. :grr:

Have you thought about getting a cheap bottom round, cooking it at 165 for a couple hours, then saw it into slices and put it a the ends of the platter with the perfectly sliced rib roast?

ptlyon 11-25-2024 10:20 PM

What about pumpkin seeds?

Does that include beets? Because anyone who likes beets isn't a real human being. You're just not. I don't know what you are, but you're not a human being with human taste buds.

I'd eat a farting mouse's ass before I'd eat a beet.

Why spend money on beets when you can just go out in your backyard and get the exact same taste by eating a handful of dirt?

I love me some well done, hot apple pie. The flaky golden crust you break off and eat with a nice cup of coffee or after dinner drink is the bomb.

I was like you was something in pumpkin pie I despised. My Sis one year made a pumpkin pie and like me she always hated it too. She discovered it was the nutmeg. She eliminated its and cut back on some of the other spices used cream and a can of evaporated milk and it was more tolerable to me with a lot of Cool Whip. I still prefer other pies but I can eat that pie pumpkin pie she made. She has passed and I don't know the exact recipe so no more of that.

Another pie I don't like is mincemeat pie an Aunt would always make one or two for the huge family get together at TG. I tried it once and never again. The WWII generation and older cleaned it up though.

I've heard of that, but never eaten it or to my knowledge even seen one. I actually looked it up to see what was in it. Beef, apples and various other assorted fruits? Sounds vile. Hard pass on that shit.
