3 firsts and 35 million per please

I've concluded that this place is ****ing reeruned. NO, Veach would not make that trade. NO, one "star" when you already have two is NOT a good idea.

Oddly enough.....I could give a rats a$$ if it truly occurs.. or not. I was just asking a general question that I also heard posed on a national program.

Would a team be tempted to pull the trigger if the price was a 3rd or 4th instead of the supposed 2nd or first that everyone is saying would be the asking price.

It wouldn't be the first time the supposed asking price and the eventual trade were way off.

Paying WRs 30M a year is no longer in vogue. Look at the 49ers. Teams are trying to trade away these contracts. Look at the Bengals, I don't know what the hell they are doing with Chase and Higgins, but its stupid. There are WRs that come out every year in the draft and contribute, or quickly become emerging stars. Hell unlike LT, college developes WRs all the time. Why over pay when you don't have to

So in a few years you just let Rice and/or Worthy walk?

If we've signed a starting LT why would that be a horrible idea?

Never said that. And to be honest, I don't know if either are on pace for that kind of contract. The point I was making is that I think the NFL is in the process of ending the crazy WR salaries that we have seen. Maybe that not true for guys like Jefferson and Chase. They will still get paid, but its not going to be what it is today. Currious to see what a kid like Jordan Addison gets in a few years.

Because half of the people here are fairly ignorant about not only the salary cap, but other teams and just want any and all needs to be met with a name. Just a name they've heard of.

And that's not how it works, in reality.

Drafting extremely well is the only way the Chiefs will remain in contention each and every season while Mahomes is here.

chiefforlife 03-07-2025 02:05 PM
