On the screen, he just didn't wrap up.

But come on. It's premature to give up on him. I think he has looked good. And I thought the same thing last preseason.

Not to mention Brokie's hand-off was shit.

I think we're watching the same game.

I think we're probably seeing what we want to see to a certain extent.

I just don't like the guy, you clearly do. Yes - he's had some decent runs this game, I just don't think he's a NFL player.

Probably not worth much more energy arguing about a 3rd string running back.

I don't blame Croyle. If the play was supposed to be a run, the RB should not be moving forward like Battle was. If that was supposed to be a run, Battle was to blame for making a mistake. I will cut him some slack, though. He is a young guy.

I think I'd rather have him than the overpaid 2yrds and a cloud of dust RB we have now on 1st string.

Halfcan 08-21-2009 08:34 PM

Charles was a 3rd round pick-why is he not stepping up-didnt he say he wanted LJ's job??

Mecca 08-21-2009 08:34 PM

This team needs a new stable of RB's is the end conclusion to this debate.

Everyone keeps saying that we are so deep etc at the RB position but i question whether or not we have a legit starter there. We have a bunch of guys that can do a few things but are not complete.

Was a good college QB... SC had other issues the yrs they should have won. SC finds a way to lose that one game that costs them a chance. Thank the Pac 10 for that. While it isnt as bad as people think, the conference has a history of losing games it should win, add on most people dont stay up late enough to watch games...... makes it a lesser conference. Barkley the real deal? Frosh QB, rebuilt defense..... SC ending up in the top 5?

Not worried about the defense all the guys stepping in were top recruits and they've all had years in the system. I don't think it'll be as good as last year but I still expect it to be good. Everson Griffen should step up and be what he's suppose to be...

Barkley looks like he's the real deal but we'll see about that, no matter who plays QB and as nice as Williams is out at WR, USC should be leaning heavy on Stafon Johnson.

DBOSHO 08-21-2009 08:40 PM

LJ = ass
Charles is a nice 3rd down back but probably not a #2
the rest are spare parts

hell, many teams have two RBs better than anyone on our roster

No RB by committee? Pete's defense has always been LB driven.... Who is the standout this year? Like Stafon, imagine he gets used like Bush. Figure they protect the FR QB with the run game, probably look much different offensively. Defensively, always have Mays to clean up the mess.
