Geno Smiths skill set actually translates better to a pro set IMO.
Put the kid in a balanced offense that we could easily field with him at QB and he will put the spotlight on Kansas City and make the guy that drafts him look like a ****ing genius. |

Geno Smith is a system QB. So was RGIII. There's risk that they don't run an NFL system right now. I really don't care -- I think Geno Smith's skill set will make him fit in just fine in an NFL system. |

He's mostly in the shotgun. He's played under center some, but mostly shotgun.

If the Chiefs only win 1 or 2 and get the #1 pick, I sure hope Clark sees this as a golden opportunity to hit reset and start fresh with a new front office.
|
How many of these stupid mother****ing tweets have actually came true?
|
I WANT a system quarterback. The pro game is turning into a game for system guys.
I want a QB who is used to having the game go through him. I don't want a QB who has played in a "pro-style" system that uses their ridiculous running game to open up the pass. Because guess what? You will NEVER have a running game like that again. I want a QB who is used to throwing it 30 times a game. That's not even where the game is going in the NFL, it's where it is already. No, he's not as smart as RG3. RG3 is a special, special guy. But Geno smith has all the tools, and this isn't rocket science. You can't be Jamarcus Russel, but you don't have to be Stephen Hawking. It's not like Peyton Manning and Tom Brady are Nobel Laureates. They just know how to play the game. |

Right now, our biggest need is leadership on the field imo. No one is stepping up. I have no idea why Berry is not a captain like he was in his rookie year. It almost seems like he is hesitant to speak up because he's not a captain. DJ isn't vocal and if Winston is our leader on offense, we are ****ed. We need a QB for sure but, we need leadership more than anything. |

Since this has turned into a Geno thread, I have a few questions:
Why did Geno only manage to put up 14 point these last two week against Big 12 defenses? When his team really needed him, why didn't he deliver? Not slamming the guy, but these are some important questions that need answered. What he has brought the last two games are exactly what we have in Cassel already which is absolute shit. |
Exactly, it's not what Geno did. It's what he didn't do imo.

No. **** NO! |
Let's see what teams can fit Bowe's 5m cap number under cap and have a need for a WR.
Eagles: $21.4 million. -Nope Jaguars: $20.7 million - Nope Chiefs: $14.5 million. Titans: $14.1 million- Maybe still in race Bills: $13.6 million- Nope Browns: $13.4 million- Nope Buccaneers: $13.2 million- Nope Seahawks: $13.2 million- This could be a fit still in race Broncos: $12.3 million- Nope Bengals: $10.4 million- Nope Patriots: $8.4 million- Nope Vikings: $8.2 million- This could be a fit still in the race Dolphins: $7.1 million- Maybe Packers: $6.9 million- Nope Cardinals: $6.6 million- Nope Redskins: $6.1 million- Nope they have no real picks left after RGIII Jets: $5.9 million- Nope Cowboys: $5.7 million-Nope Colts: $5.3 million- Nope Panthers: $5.3 million- Nope Bears: $4.5 million. Saints: $4.1 million. Rams: $4.0 million. Chargers: $3.5 million. Raiders: $2.3 million. Giants: $2.2 million. Lions: $2.0 million. Steelers; $1.6 million. Ravens: $1.4 million. Falcons: $1.3 million. Texans: $882,000. 49ers: $880,000. |

The salary cap is bogus. Any team can sign anyone as long as the guaranteed money is high enough. |
Bowe wants out because of the teams quarterback situation.

"Dwayne, we are interested in making a move for you and the cost is pretty significant to do so. Whats the ballpark you are looking at after the year is over in terms of a new deal?"
Is that against the rules if the Chiefs allow a trade partner to get a ball park figure form Bowes agent? |

Damn, that sucks if true. |
Quote:
Can't in quotations because they do it anyway. I'm sure Bowe's agent has already talked to a few teams to gauge their interest. |
I guess that part is redundant, anyway because Pioli knows what ballpark figures Bowe is shopping his services to and could share that with a trade partner team.

Panthers: $5.3 million
Colts: $5.3 million Jets: $5.9 million Dolphins: $7.1 million Vikings: $8.2 million Seahawks: $13.2 million Bengals: $10.4 million Browns: $13.4 million Jaguars: $20.7 million Titans: $14.1 million Every one of those teams should be willing to trade for a guy like Bowe. |

Jets- That team is done Fins-They might trade for him Cinn- Cheap owner not adding payroll Panthers are 1-5 |
The colts dont need a reciever? Can you name their second reciever? Reggie wayne is getting up there also.

The Colts have a legit franchise QB. They don't need to go pay top high end dollar to wr's.
|
Quote:
2. No, they aren't. 3. Of course the COULD, they absolutely SHOULD. 4. new CBA means it doesn't matter if an owner wants to be cheap or not. Floor kicks in after this year. 5. I dont care if the Panthers are 1-5...with a matchup like Bowe and Cam...that team can turn things around quickly. |
Quote:
Adding a top end WR would only make Luck even better. |
Quote:

If we trade him I doubt it happens during the season. If so, that means Pioli is not going anywhere. I mean, as an owner there is no way I'd let my GM I'm about to possibly fire make any decisions like this, or any at all for that matter. It sucks though that this is even a topic. I hate Pioli.
|
There are 9 teams in the AFC that are 3-3 or 3-4 and only 2 wildcard spots. (The Broncos and Chargers are tied for first place in the west)
Dolphins Jets Bills Steelers Bengals Colts Titans Chargers Broncos All the teams I bolded are ran by complete fools if they aren't trying to add a player of Bowes quality via trade, if the option is out there to do so. |

We'll never know but I'm sure he's already told his agent his top few teams if he's a FA and I'm sure there's been some casual flirting... |
All I know is it is highly unlikely that anyone is going to trade for him unless he'll sign long term.
|
Quote:
Or a 4 year deal. He has nothing to back up his talent. It's unfortunate, and unfair to him, but true. He will leave here, get lowballed with a respectable team, and we'll all be sick and confused over why we couldn't sign him. |
Quote:
Personally, I don't think it's ever been in the plans to keep him. I'm not going to get into it but, he has alot of issues. Most of the problems that he suffers are problems that he made. The rest are problems with his game that he never overcame. He definately won't get what he thinks he's worth imo. He's a descending player. |

So because Matt cassel and Brady Quinn are t getting him the ball he is t open? If that's the case we don't have a good wr in the whole bunch
How is this turd still allowed to spew his shit across multiple threads? |
