And if you were a Chiefs fan, you'd understand why some of us hate the sonofabitch.

I don't recall ever saying that I don't understand why you don't like him. I think I have been pretty empathetic to the thought of why you don't.

you know, the 30 years since you drafted one, always taken other teams castoffs.

No, I don't understand. Just because I happen to like the Cast off doesn't mean that I don't understand.

Its cute that you call me ****ing pathetic, or how did you say it....IRONY

But you are the real fan, mercilessly hating on the qb of your team.

But im pathetic......forgive me Skip Baseless if I don't take anything you say seriously.......

Hammock Parties 08-15-2013 09:59 PM

He's not our QB.

He's some other team's castoff, and he should never have come here.

You're not a Chiefs fan, and you wouldn't be here if Alex Smith wasn't.

You're a big fraud.

Alex Smith could hold down the fort until Kaepernick was ready. Kaepernick was no where near ready to play, he had accuracy issues, people hated his delivery he played in a small conference. And in his first preseason, he looked AWFUL.

I could see Bray taking that very same road.

I was very much in favor of bringing back Alex to be Kaepernick's placeholder.

I felt QBs were ruined by the era of throwing them to the wolves due to their $50 million contracts.

Once upon a time, a QB was expected to sit and hold the clipboard for 2 years and come out ready with confidence, not thrown to the wolves. Sure it can be done. Peyton was thrown to the wolves. I am still a big believer in letting your rookie QB hold the clip board 1 or 2 years.

With the new rookie contracts, I really wish GMs would get back to that. Geno Smith COULD possibly be a decent QB, but he will be ruined by being thrown to the wolves. Sanchez was. Bradford almost was, but might still be salvageable under Fisher. A few can handle it like Luck & Wilson, but most can't.

I wish more GMs would let their rookies sit & develop, and not make them sink or swim. I think it would lead to more good QB play down the line.

Hammock Parties 08-15-2013 10:00 PM

I hate you because you are fake.

Like your fake ass QB, who can't hack it against real QBs.

Second, sure you do. Part of my "meltdown" as it was called on the 49ers board was my support of Alex Smith, and sick of the Alex Smith hate, and hearing that when he was gone I should go with him.

Challenge accepted. I cant stand the thought that someone would be happy that someone got hurt, and lost their job. It was a thing of glee for 49er fans, just like I find it laughable that people such as Dave Lane, and Clayton can even think to hope that Alex Smith would get destroyed and that would be a good thing.

That's PATHETIC. But that makes them more of a fan than ME?

This is the thing. You live and die with your team, all the ups and the stinking downs. 49ers have sucked for 20 years. I didn't go become a Green Bay fan just because Holmgren went there and I love there heritage. I like the Packers, but they are not MY team. Only bandwagon fans bounce around. True fans support their team. Even when it sucks. Like my San Francisco Giants do.

Has there ever been a World Series champ that finished last over all the following year? :hmmm:

I don't think so.

The fact of the matter is, I just don't like the 49ers like I used to, and after so many years of the abuse the guy took, I chose a side. Will I still be here when Alex Smith leaves? I don't honestly know the answer to that question. Doesn't mean I cant be a fan while he is here.

No. Incorrect. I have been a 49ers, and browns fan my entire life. I just made a decision. I don't ask for anyones acceptance, or understanding of why I did what I did. But, in your eyes, im just a idiot and every other despicable adjective you have used lately to insult me even though I have tried on several occasions to talk civilized with you. So, if you are going to talk about me, at least keep it honest. I have never liked any other teams than the 49ers and Browns, until now. I don't claim the 49ers. I don't join any other 49ers board, nor visit, and yes, I am a member of the webzone, but I don't go there. I go here, and to the Browns board. Sorry that is unacceptable to you guys. But its how I am. Live your life, ill live mine.

I would pull for him, but truth be told, hes just an awful football player, and the words super bowl, wouldn't enter my lexicon. It sure didn't with Colt pony boy McCoy. Realism is still a thought process that I hold onto.

Nah. I guess you have an inability to separate what you see from the end result. Nothing went Weeden's way last year, doesn't mean he didn't have the tools. Coaching is huge too.

Explains your inability to separate 49er success from mediocre QB play.

If that is a true fan? That's not me. I pull for every player in that uniform. When Kaep took over, I pulled for him. That to me is a true fan. I just got sick of it.

We never "put down" Alex Smith. Some did, most didn't. Most, like me, simply stated the good and the bad.

I said he was intelligent, mobile, efficient, careful, knew the playbook in and out, mastered the short passing game, read defenses well, and moved the chains between the 20s.

I said he was cautious, risk averse, would not attack defenses, could not throw into a window, would not throw receivers open, could not throw to his left, took unnecessry sacks instead of throwing the ball away, threw short on 3rd and long, sometimes did not see the open receiver, and would not take the appropriate risk at the appropriate time when the reward was worth the risk.

If that is "putting down" Smith, then your perspective is warped. It is no more putting down Smith than if I cited Michael Vick's wildness or Tony Romo's inconsistency.

My honesty is not trolling.

I never considered you the "enemy". I considered you to be unreasonable in both your judgment and your demeanor.

Your judgment was deficient in how you refused to see these weaknesses in Alex and made myriad excuses for his play.

Your demeanor was deficient in that you had to respond to EVERY post by EVERY person who discussed Alex. You could not just state your case and leave it, and occassionaly rebut or add to it.

You were a Crusader. You were a Paladin. You were a Missionary. It was your mission in life to DEFEND Alex to the death on every thread, to every person, for every statement.

Not only did it get old fast, it made you look foolish and left you feeing like you were being attacked by the entire forum as Alex's obvious weaknesses became more accepted by the entire forum.

By the time I joined, Harbaugh had just arrived and many people had renewed hope in Alex's resurrection under Jim. There were MANY people who joined you in that hope, many of whom were moderators.

As time went on, we saw Alex hit a ceiling of what he could do ( you still can't see this I believe). More and more people came to realize Alex's ceilings, so more and more people came to post criticism of him which you had to personally rebut each and every instance of each post.

OK, that is a wild exageration. But you did post very frequently to very many bits of criticism of Alex, and it left you feeling like the enemy because so few people were left on your side.

We didn't make you the enemy. You made yourself the enemy by default, because you demanded to take on all comers, of which we all became -- except "Viper", the lone holdout.

No wonder you felt like the enemy.

Don't blame us. It was your skewed perspective that made you feel like the world was against you, just because of your extreme minority opinion. One that did not reflect reality.

I'm no troll. I've just said it like it is. I could troll you from kingdom come over here and almost never do. When I do it, I call you out for obvious things -- like your saying, "I'm not an Alex homer". You can say that until the cows come home, but the evidence is obvious.

Good luck here.

It was you against the entire 49er forum. Now it is you against the entire Chief's forum. You need to see the pattern there. It is you. So figure out why it is you and fix it.

See Manning; Peyton; "neck"

Explains your inability to separate 49er success from mediocre QB play.

Not true. I think that Weeden has stud potential. I know that Colin is a stud. I think Alex Smith can be a stud under Andy Reid, and I am well aware of the big play ability that Kaep brings, that Alex Smith lacked.

Im just a guy who prefers to see it in games that really count.

LMAO

And so Maverick has been weighed, measured and found wanting...

And what does he want?

Alex's balls in his mouth.

Why the **** would you have rooted for the 2012 Chiefs to win a game... ANY game... when it became apparent they were ****ed from the beginning?

That team needed an enema in the worst way, and we got it. Pioli was ousted, Cassel was cut, and we finally got a head coach who doesn't search for answers up Bill Belichick's asscrack.

If you had your way, we'd still have Pioli and we'd still be middling around with Cassel and a bunch of Patriot ****faces. Oh, and all of our good players would want to get the **** out of here.

I wouldn't say I want us to lose...but I won't be too broken up if we do, because I expect it to happen.

Explain it like he's 5.

If you can't see that losing as many games as possible was the healthiest thing that could have happened to this franchise in 2012, you're a ****ing dumbass who doesn't deserve to live.

If you wanted your team to lose so that they could draft Geno Smith at 1.1 you are reeruned. And a large portion of the Alex Smith haters did just that.

You are a Jags fan. So that is "us" for you.

Why in the blue hell are all of these fans from other teams coming here trying to be Chiefs fans?

Want me to check under your bed for Geno fans before you go to bed you ****ing pussy?

People on here claim that Geno gets brought up so often. Guess whose fault it is? People like you. NOT me.

I have a question for you. Did you root for the Chiefs to lose in 2012?

I have been a Chiefs fan since 1969, and I have never once rooted for them to lose. And I never will.

I never said I would rather have Matt Cassel than Andrew Luck. You either need to learn to read or take your anti-delusional meds.

I am a fan. I do not want my team to lose.
