He has immediate pressure in his face on the first pass. Stands his ground and gives his receiver a chance to make the play.

Still excellent, though. |

Just watched Mahomes.... My God people. Unreal....

Haven't seen QB play like this since Trent. And Mahomes is far more talented.

Are we hoping for a Smith injury?

I think I'm going to St. Joseph to see St. Patrick again Saturday. |
Sounds like Mahomes is doing great! Also, let's not forget my boy Marcus Kemp who scored the TD and 2pt conversion.
|
Good luck to KC this upcoming season.

Trent's 17 TD's and 10 INT's in 2005 aren't impressive, you irrepressible alcoholic moron. |

Alex Smith, the Chiefs’ undisputed starting quarterback, also led the offense on an 88-yard scoring drive during the same period. Smith completed 8 of 11 passes on the drive, which spanned 12 plays, with most of the completions being of the short variety. Quote:
This is the year Alex Smith breaks loose with deep balls |

So are all of these practice dates open to the public?
http://www.chiefs.com/trainingcamp/campschedule.html I was thinking of taking my boys out one day...but there does not appear to be any "family" days left. |

✔ @ChiefsReporter Derrick Johnson and Charcandrick West are not out at practice again today. Rest is same as yesterday. No new players out. 21m What's up with that? |

Hopefully West ankle doesn't become much of a problem but I bet it gives Hunt some precious reps those are gold to come by when you are competing for a roll. |
West is gonna get cut

Darrin Reaves is no longer on the squad and the only other back is some guy that's 5'8. I think West gets a chance to make the team and if anything, he goes on IR. |

Try to keep up, Kevin. |

Both sucked. |
Not a loaded question....Did I miss why Trent Green's 2005 season is specifically being used?

Granted, there's probably only 7-8 carries a game to split among them. #Reidlife |

I'd rather see West on the squad than a Knile Davis, who offers nothing, even when healthy. |
Quote:
You also would like to get hill a carry or two I'd think. With them likely to keep Sherman as well, I think spiller and west are competing for a spot and with spiller being able to return kicks, that may swing it |

Do you think the Chiefs are going to put themselves in the same position as last year, when they traded Davis, re-signed him, cut him, signed Bishop, etc and so on? I don't. West was banged up last year but in 2015 when healthy, he was the Chiefs leading rusher. They extended him and Ware last season so unless they happen to bring in more competition at the RB spot during TC, West is safe. |

If Veach signs a guy in the next week, then West is probably on thin ice but I doubt it happens because they're going to take a Dead Cap hit AND need to sign someone else that can learn the offense but more importantly, the protections, quickly. I think that if the Chiefs were truly concerned that West is chronically injured, they wouldn't have waited until camp to address those concerns. And I'd think he'd go on IR rather than being outright cut because this year, teams can bring back 2 players off of IR. |

While Trent's TD-INT ratio wasn't great, he was #2 in the NFL in passing, #5 in YPA, #4 in YPC and the Chiefs had the #1 offense. It wasn't remotely the same offensive situation. Chiefs fans weren't down on Trent Green after 2005. |
“Eligwe is a linebacker,” Chiefs special teams coach Dave Toub said via quotes from the Chiefs. “No question. I have already got him started on punting, so that says a lot about him. I really see a bright future for him. He may not be with me for a long time because he may be on defense because he is that good."
“I think he is going to be a really good player,” Sutton said. “Since he has been in here, he’s worked really hard at it, diligently. He studies hard. He loves to play. I think he has a physical presence in there. He studies. He knows the game. He is just going to get better and better. I think he has a bright future.” I've never heard the coaching staff praise a late round pick this much this early. Sounds like they love Eligwe and have high expectations. |
It's almost pointless to compare Trent Green and Alex Smith. Can you imagine if Travis Kelce set the single season record for receptions from a tight end? While spencer ware scored 28 total touchdowns?

Green was garbage in 2006 and wasn't much better in 2005. The Chiefs even drafted a QB in the 3rd round because they saw the end coming. |

It would be great if he could be good this year. |

Hopefully Eligwe is a huge hit like Hill was :D |
