GB completed a long pass. Hurry, quick get together and make up a flag!

Well, they did go to the SB in 1985, but after Eason got hurt and Douglas Flute got benched then cut, they were TERRIBLE for like 5 years. I remember Okoye fumbling against them on the first play of a game in a snowstorm...and we still beat the pants off them.

Whoever owned the franchise in 1993 literally lured Bill Parcells out of a handshake deal that Parcells made with Hugh Culverhouse to become the Bucs coach with the largest salary a coach had ever been paid for Big Tuna to come to NE.

They drafted Bledsoe and Bruschi and McGinist and Ty Law and Chris Slade and Malloy and Curtis Martin and brought in Meggett and Otis other 'Parcells guys'...

And they didn't suck.

Then, Bob Kraft bought the team in 1994...and he and Parcells immediately had problems...but the team was decent if inconsistant and Parcells lost to former protégé Bellichick in the 94 playoffs, who coached the Browns.

So when Belichick got fired from Cleveland, Parcells brought him to NE as Asst HC/DBs...and BBs main administrative job as Asst HC is to basically be liason between the Krafts and Parcells.

And this is when the Terry Glenn thing happened, and Parcells decided he was leaving at the end of the season no matter what...

And they went to the ****ing Super Bowl.

The way I heard it, Parcells made no secret he was leaving NE after the game, win or lose - BB said it was a distraction all week, and Parcells didn't even fly back with the Pats.

So they went to the Jets where BB was going to be HC but Parcells was to be "advisor", eventually Tagliabue stepped in and the Jets basically traded for Parcells and Curtis Martin. BB came with them.

Bob Kraft hired Pete Carroll, who had been fired by the Jets for Rich Kotite, who had less business being an NFL coach than I do, which is who Parcells replaced, but I digress...

When Parcells retired from NYJ, BB agreed to become HC of the Jets, and iirc actually was introduced as their new HC...

then Bob Kraft fired Pete Carroll to offer complete and total control of the NE Pats to BB...so BB quits the NYJ the same day he got hired to accept the Pats job.

The nucleus of the Super Bowl team he had coached 3 years previous was still there, as was Drew Bledsoe. They drafted Brady as an afterthought in the 6th round, Bledsoe got hurt week 2 of 2001, BBs 2ND season...

And you know the rest of the story.

A lot of divine providence there, I guess.

Holding

Maine 11-04-2018 09:12 PM

LOL Flag on first and goal. Refs scared they might score

Red Dawg 11-04-2018 09:12 PM

Another flag on the Pack. Its insane.

Duh.

RunKC 11-04-2018 09:12 PM

There’s the bail out

New World Order 11-04-2018 09:13 PM

Such a weak call.

Bullshit

mr. tegu 11-04-2018 09:13 PM

The RB clearly had the edge and shouldn’t have cut it back inside.

staylor26 11-04-2018 09:13 PM

Pats don’t ever get called for holding with that patchwork OL though

LMAO

Red Dawg 11-04-2018 09:13 PM

Pats are a joke. Refs champs.

RunKC 11-04-2018 09:14 PM

Woo!

Rasputin 11-04-2018 09:14 PM

Suck on that Patriots

Hammock Parties 11-04-2018 09:14 PM

YES YES RODGERS YOU STUD

mr. tegu 11-04-2018 09:14 PM

Chung!

ptlyon 11-04-2018 09:14 PM

CHUNG!

Ron Swanson 11-04-2018 09:14 PM

It's weird that NE never holds, but everyone that plays them does.

Spott 11-04-2018 09:14 PM

Nice throw.

DRM08 11-04-2018 09:14 PM

Great TD pass from Rodgers.

TribalElder 11-04-2018 09:14 PM

I wish I had a dollar for every time these cackleheads said tmo brady

That’s awfully specific. I don’t think you will get many dollars.

Red Dawg 11-04-2018 09:16 PM

Same as it ever was. Brady OL perfect all the time.

ptlyon 11-04-2018 09:16 PM

Can't Mercedes Benz afford a different commercial after 5 ****ing years?

DRM08 11-04-2018 09:17 PM

Rodgers pulled a Mahomes on that one and told the refs to shove those drive-killing penalties up their asses.

CasselGotPeedOn 11-04-2018 09:17 PM

I'm shocked they didn't review that, change it to an interception, give the Patriots 10 points for no reason, and eject Rodgers.

Hammock Parties 11-04-2018 09:19 PM

The Pats are handing the ball to Cordy Patterson.

They can't possibly hope to compete with us come January.

Deberg_1990 11-04-2018 09:19 PM

Cordelle Patterson in the LeGarrette Blunt role

Rasputin 11-04-2018 09:19 PM

Send a safety blitz...

baitism 11-04-2018 09:20 PM

Bullshit slants for days. Teams need to blitz and jam receivers. Even if you don't sack Brady, at least you will get some hits on him.

DRM08 11-04-2018 09:22 PM

I love how the announcers acknowledge the Patriots cheating with the pick plays, but they never call out the league for letting them get away with it over and over.

Maine 11-04-2018 09:24 PM

And there's the flag LOL

Discuss Thrower 11-04-2018 09:24 PM

How can it be DPI for a pass that wasn't even close to the receiver.

EDIT: far angle made it look wider than it truly was. Whatever.

RunKC 11-04-2018 09:24 PM

And there’s the bail out AGAIN

notorious 11-04-2018 09:24 PM

Bailout inbound.

baitism 11-04-2018 09:24 PM

You gotta be TDs better in Foxboro to win. ****ing refs.

Rasputin 11-04-2018 09:24 PM

Uncatchable ball

CasselGotPeedOn 11-04-2018 09:24 PM

Pretty clear penalty there

Red Dawg 11-04-2018 09:24 PM

Never saw Kelce get that call.

tk13 11-04-2018 09:24 PM

I thought that was going to be a garbage bail out but that was probably the right call. Defender was all over him.

notorious 11-04-2018 09:25 PM

Proper call.

Damnit

TribalElder 11-04-2018 09:25 PM

**** the ref and the patriots

Only uncatchable because he held him for 2 seconds.

DRM08 11-04-2018 09:25 PM

So DPI is called, but not OPI on the blatant pick play that set up a 30 yard gain.

notorious 11-04-2018 09:25 PM

Had to hit mute.

Red Dawg 11-04-2018 09:26 PM

Its in the bag for the Pats. Brady not allowed to lose at home.

Mecca 11-04-2018 09:26 PM

I like how all Brady has to do is throw up his hands and here comes the call...also lets hit the dude in the head with the flag.

notorious 11-04-2018 09:26 PM

Nope.

CasselGotPeedOn 11-04-2018 09:26 PM

You know they would've missed that call if the roles had been reversed though

Mecca 11-04-2018 09:27 PM

The shit with the Pats that's annoying is it is not called down the middle, they can do shit and then the other team does it and it's a flag.

petegz28 11-04-2018 09:27 PM

that's not a TD

notorious 11-04-2018 09:27 PM

He wasn't in. They'll score the next play so it doesn't matter.

Mecca 11-04-2018 09:27 PM

He's not even in.

Spott 11-04-2018 09:27 PM

He was short, but they are trying to give this to the Pats.

Mecca 11-04-2018 09:28 PM

Watch them let it stand.

Red Dawg 11-04-2018 09:28 PM

Dynasty is a fraud. This shit has been happening for years. **** them and their bullshit fan base.

srvy 11-04-2018 09:28 PM

He looked down short if it matters.

This is why Tom doesn't retire, he doesn't have to, the NFL will ensure he succeeds.

Until the Chiefs D learns to wrap up and tackle. Pat's will compete and probably win..

O.city 11-04-2018 09:29 PM

Chiefs gonna have to win out to get hfa

srvy 11-04-2018 09:29 PM

Surprise surprise.

Mecca 11-04-2018 09:29 PM

I don't understand how the NFL isn't called out on this stupid shit. Instead we hear about players kneeling not about how games looked rigged.

mr. tegu 11-04-2018 09:29 PM

Catch that ball!

RunKC 11-04-2018 09:30 PM

I don’t think so. The Patriots are still not a good road team.

notorious 11-04-2018 09:30 PM

Catch the ball you ****ing ****

GloryDayz 11-04-2018 09:30 PM

BTW, I switched to SKC's game, I think we all know who's going to win the Pats/Refs/NFL vs. Packers game...

Steelers are the only decent team the Patriots play the rest of the year.

TribalElder 11-04-2018 09:31 PM

brady gonna get his 1 yard here?

Hammock Parties 11-04-2018 09:31 PM

BLOW ME BRADY BITCH

notorious 11-04-2018 09:31 PM

Just do your QB reach over the goaline shit so the announcers can suck you off.

Discuss Thrower 11-04-2018 09:31 PM

Yuge

Maine 11-04-2018 09:31 PM

Amazing what happens when you blitz him

petegz28 11-04-2018 09:31 PM

Surprised as the crowd is that no flag was thrown there

RunKC 11-04-2018 09:31 PM

**** yes!

**** you Patriots!!!

DRM08 11-04-2018 09:32 PM

Huge stop Packers. OK McCarthy, don't screw this up with a dumbass run play like Reid did against the Steelers.

notorious 11-04-2018 09:32 PM

Pats are reeruned for not pounding it twice.

rabblerouser 11-04-2018 09:32 PM
