No, I think it's a thread filled with emotional responses to a situation that nobody, (on this forum at least), had all the information to.

Everything we were fed lead us to believe Tyreek was some sort of monster. Many of us took the bait hook line and sinker. (Myself included)

Its certainly given me a new prospective on how the media reports and portrays things.

George Liquor 07-09-2019 02:58 PM

I never voted, but I think I commented yes... even though I really didn't want to. I'm glad I was wrong.

Stop trying to blame the media for your own shortcomings. The media reported fact and opinion and they were easy to discern. As I noted throughout, the default position was clearly to not release, regardless of what other mouth-breathing idiots thought. If the courts convicted him of something, maybe that changes. There was ZERO benefit in releasing him, and you knew that, regardless of your dumbass bravado.

How about a poll about whether Brooke Pryor and Jeff Rosen should be fired? And the team at KCTV5?

This is one of the most unlikely stories in the history of the NFL, I don't think going back and shaming anybody for believing the news in the beginning is particularly productive in the least.

Again, the news presented fact and opinion pretty clearly. Blaming the news for personal failings is pretty said, if not expected.

Wrong. The initial polling the first week paints the clear picture. It was 20% righteous saints, 80% dumbass morons.
The other people just held off on voting until more information came in, or they were practicing the usual chiefsplanet shenanigans of not putting any kind of opinion out there until it was safe to do so.

Because cowards? We got 'em.

Rain Man 07-10-2019 10:29 AM

I voted no relatively early, but for the wrong reason. Things were looking grim with the lies and misinformation that the local media was producing, so my no vote was just that we should either get value from him or hold his rights so that another team wouldn't be able to claim him. I didn't expect him to be able to prove his innocence given the unethical lies that the media was shouting from the rooftops.

Molitoth 07-10-2019 10:41 AM

I know Tyreek isn't the smartest dude on the planet, but I knew he didn't "PUNCH HIS KID IN THE CHEST" to get him to stop crying. That line ALONE made me believe this bitch was just crazy.

I've experienced Real life scenarios with crazy people (who happen to be female) that make up some bullshit and actually believe it.

I've been in arguments where I've sarcastically said "yeah.... okay" JUST like Tyreek did when she was blaming him about shit.

I was also aware of the shit job the media does in general to get headlines, this is nothing new. People don't care about others live, they care about their own.

I voted No obviously, because I believe in innocent until proven guilty.

no, he didn't "Punch" his kid in the chest.
Do you realize how much damage that would do to a toddler? That kid would have been hospitalized for that alone.

Tyreek admitted he would "flick" his kid in the chest. HUGE difference.

You do realize not all punches are the same right? It's not like he's have to haymaker his son in order for the son to know he's being punished.

Bottom line is that they both had stuff to work on regarding how they discipled the kid.

That is true, but the perception that audio tape put out... and how people reacted to the "punch him in the chest" line, made it come across as a fully cocked back jab right to the sternum.
People over-reacted on that line so much.

and I can agree, prob not the best at parenting... but not child abuse at all.

I think that's why there was no charges filed on them. They were both wrong for how they punished their son but it wasn't bad enough to be called child abuse.

Sure. Having the same tired discussion where you bitch and piss and moan with ridiculous assertions at the Chiefs and Veach for getting rid of Kareem Hunt when it's been almost 8 months just makes you seem a bit dumb. But if this is all you have to discuss then you do you, I guess.
