He's not wrong Hootie. I don't think any manager would've done it. I think some might have brought Herrera in there. I think Yost would've too if he hadn't pitched so much the last couple games.

But either way, it's the 6th inning. At that point you're probably asking Collins to pitch the 8th or 9th inning, and if the game is still tied you're going to Shields or Ventura and really putting yourself in a bind because we're out of guys and you have to save Holland.

He's dead wrong. Dead. And the Royals paid for it.

I agree. But it is what it is. I think that's why Ned left Vargas in as long as he did. He was trying to buy outs for the bullpen to bridge. At some point these other guys just have to pitch. You can't win with a three man bullpen.
