And also the haters are harping on Mahomes’ stats from his previous Super Bowls which are below his usual standard of greatness.

In the first Super Bowl the 49ers defense was damn good (look at what they did to Aaron Rodgers in the NFC Championship Game that year) and Mahomes’ stat line in the 4th quarter of that game powered the Chiefs to the win.

And of course in the Bucs Super Bowl, Mahomes was playing behind a dog shit offensive line and getting no help from his pass catchers (see the multiple drops and no separation from the non-Tyreek/Kelce guys).

Mahomes, however, will need to play a great game this time around, otherwise the "doesn't play well in the Super Bowl" thing is gonna stick.

I just get this feeling that Mahomes is going to light the Eagles overrated secondary up.

Our defense is being seriously underrated. The team on the field Sunday is miles better than the first half of the season and our secondary has come on strong. Not to mention our d line had the second most sacks in the nfl with a much more difficult schedule but all you hear about is philly’s d line. And our o line has given up less sacks than Philly. Those points are being overlooked by doubters.

Agree the D is just completely under the national radar. They held back to back playoff opponents to 20 points. That wins when your QB is Mahomes.

the sheer level of wishcasting by the national media is truly something to behold. they really, really do not want a flyover town dynasty.

You can include Kelce & Tyreek in the drops group for the Tampa Super Bowl. Kelce dropped a 3rd down conversion that would have gained 20+ yards early in the game. Who knows how that might have impacted the game compared to punting. Tyreek also dropped a TD, which cost them at least 4 points early in the game as well.

They just don’t want one in KC, they would have been fine with it if it were Burrow and Cincy.
