The HotSpotShield workaround was easy. I made sure it worked, but I didn't need it. The ESPN app on my Xbox looked great on my 60" LED TV. So, just a heads up to anyone who couldn't watch the game. ESPN3 with the workaround or the ESPN app on the Xbox is the way to go.

It doesn't really matter. Aren't we half finished with all these games people are pissed about missing?

Plus the Texas game Saturday. Although we are +28 dogs in that. Did you see that pile of garbage over there in Lawrence?

I will DVR all these games for you guys if you want.

Playing in a summer league game is a NCAA violation?

I think it was a pro am game. You can't play in those games in your home city or around your area.

Actually Traylor played as well but he is exempted BECAUSE it was from his home area...at least that's what I've heard.

Yep you're right. I was actually about to edit my response. Thanks

You can see the wealth of just simple raw talent Self has on this team.

They're going to need to learn how to play team defense though.

It's going to be important that this team needs to rebound. I hoping that won't be a problem this season as KU faces better competition when they maybe won't have a superior height advantage. It was the first game (exhibition) so I hope things change....because they sure as hell didn't look good the 1st half on the boards.

A lot of these kids had some major jitters last night. Which is expected....they're a team w/ a lot of hype they (maybe unfairly) have to live up to and they're playing on one of the biggest/historic stages in the game at Allen Fieldhouse with a basketball crazed fanbase that's tired of watching their football team get destroyed.

They will get better w/ time. But playing Duke early is going to be a problem. Guess there's no better way to learn where you're at as a really young team than to throw these young cubs to the wolves, and see if they can hold their own.

Bring on Duke, not like the game really matters anyway. We need some quality competition early in the season.

Conner looked frustrated out there. I am going to wait for the next game, and I still say that the explosion of perimeter fouls will reward us for having one more talented guard we don't need, but so far Greene looked way more ready than he did. Can't believe I'm saying it.

I can easily see no one redshirting, though.

saphojunkie 10-30-2013 10:37 AM

Oh and Tarik Black looks exactly like if Sherron were 6'9.

There isn't anything wrong with Frankamp red shirting. Hell, I would be willing to bet that it would do him a TON of good to RS.

He's a 4 year player which makes him the odd man out in my opinion. No sense in rushing him into playing when you have so many talented guards that likely won't be on the team in 2-3 years. Let him practice with the team, hit the weight room & come in next year and back up Tharpe.

I see his value being at it's all time high in 2-3 years.
