What is your overall impression of Brown so far?

I'm comfortable at this point, cautiously optimistic. What I'm really pleased about is that I think it was a *perfect* strategic move by Veach:
- We didn't pay an injured, "meh" LT in Fisher.
- We got a Pro-Bowl LT to slide in for the cost of (essentially) a second round pick, when the cupboard was otherwise bare.
- We didn't take a flyer on an unproven 1st round LT, and most were gone anyways when we would have picked.
- We haven't extended Brown yet, meaning we aren't tied to him if he doesn't excel
- We are paying him rookie contract wages at (arguably) the most important non-QB position on our roster, freeing up our cap to use elsewhere
- If he does excel, we can structure his extension in a way that lines up well with the growing cap in future years.
The big question is scheme fit - can he adapt to our pass-heavy offense? Even if not amazing, if he does "just okay" on certain plays, we can scheme around that a bit. Put a Blake Bell to help chip the edge; roll right; run more often; screen more often.
I think we're going to be okay no matter what because Veach is calling the shots and Reid is calling the plays.
If Brown is all-pro, great. If he's functional, fine. I don't think he'll fail terribly.
