I understand what you're saying, but the postseason success stands on its own. You can compare the Ravens' playoff wins, AFCCG appearances, and SBs to franchises with much longer histories--which should bias it in favor of the older franchises--and the Ravens come out ahead of multiple of those teams combined in absolute terms.

It depends heavily on what you're trying to compare. If you want to compare all-time winning percentages and your success dates from the date of the move, then you want to compare just from that date. If you want to compare total number of playoff wins or super bowl wins, then it would be more advantageous to use an earlier date. Such arguments are usually made choosing the most advantageous date.

Are you intentionally typing in Lamar-bonics?

I don't see one single area where the Ravens have an advantage. Can someone tell me why everybody under the sun is predicting a Ravens victory? Home-Field?

Lamar hasn't played the last two seasons and as much as people want to pin all these losses on Lamar, you truly need to go back and look at the games.

That first game in 2018 he was thrown into the mix after playing on the scout team and then taking over for Joe Flacco mid season after he had a back injury. If it wasn't for that injury, the ravens don't even make the playoffs.

2019 - hit a Titans team when we just had some injuries. Andrews playing with a calf injury, Ingram playing with injury and no, I'm not blaming it on injuries, but the game came down to a bunch of drops with well placed balls that could have been touchdowns.

2020 - he was injured in the 3rd quarter - concussion had to leave the game

2021 - injured didn't play last month

2022 - injured did't play last month

You are what your record says you are. Nobody cares about injuries when they look back on a season. The only thing people care about is accomplishments.

Hold up. A RB playing QB was able to beat Gid in cleats, the best HC and DC in league history. I know I k ow the Chiefs were playing with House Money.

You can pick any date you want for the Ravens and they would stack up favorably against most franchises in terms of absolute postseason success.

The Ravens have won two Super Bowls. 12 NFL teams have never won a SB. Another 4 have won one. 16/32 with fewer SBs than the Ravens. That doesn't need to be adjusted for any advantageous date.

They're marty-ball on steroids. So a better running game.

Robbery. As I'm sure you've heard, Baltimore is a very dangerous slum, especially compared to idyllic Kansas City, Missouri. So oddsmakers are factoring in that there's a very good chance the Chiefs players will be held up at gunpoint before, or even possibly during, the game and have their pads/cleats taken from them.

True enough. However your all-time wins total is pathetic compared to the Packers.

You all have like 400 posts in two days, but if you could at least be less reeruned in your attempts to spam the thread, that would be great, thanks.

Our bar for opposing fans is about as low as your bar for calling your team historically great, if that helps.

KCUnited 01-25-2024 11:39 AM

Its only Thursday and Raven fans are having strokes

Baltimore looks much healthier in the injury report from what I can see. Chiefs have a lot of banged up starters. Many of them will play, but they won’t be full strength.

Setting aside the injury stuff, I think Baltimore has the better receiving group and the better defense. Baltimore has the advantage in both creating turnovers on defense and avoiding turnovers on offense as well.
